Hard to Enjoy
This fragrance is a dark woody, spicy, damp earth with a hint of leather. Those could be enticing notes, but instead I found not enjoying the experience. Its a fairly linear fragrance, you get hit with all those notes at once. The dark and dank earthiness does lighten up but not in a way that tells me the fragrance is transforming, its just becomes less pungent. I personally do not find this wearable or pleasant. I kinda smelled like an old cellar out in the woods all day. Perhaps there is someone out there that can rock this fragrance but it wasn't me.

The projection was actually too strong for me, I wish I was smelling it less throughout the day. It did last about 5 hours but in this case, that was a negative. A 50ml is €179 and a 100ml is €279. This is definitely a try before you but even if you typically love these two notes.

Captivating Depth Becomes a Breakthrough
At first, an intense and heavy dark woody note can be perceived, which brings along a subtly sweet, lacquer-like quality thanks to the oud.

However, this sweet lacquer-like association is only noticeable for a few seconds and gives way to the dark woody note, which to me smells of old, used oak and mahogany wood, and intriguingly appears both cold and warm at the same time.

Just a few moments later, a strong earthy note joins in, which slightly reminds me of rain-soaked earth and brings a decent spiciness, giving the fragrance a very captivating depth, and I suspect this is Indonesian patchouli.

These two notes are supported by a very light sweet herbal note, which in my opinion is responsible for rounding off the opening beautifully and comes from Java vetiver.

Far in the background, a very subtle citrusy peppery, ethereal nuance can be perceived, which harmonizes very pleasantly with the other notes and creates a beautiful overall scent profile, originating from elemi resin.

Some time later, the fragrance becomes pleasantly bright and resinous thanks to the frankincense, which acts like a breakthrough after this captivating depth, as the scent still possesses a certain heaviness but now appears lighter, and I really enjoy this fragrance composition because it requires a somewhat intense engagement; otherwise, it cannot do justice to you, or you cannot do justice to it.

The frankincense is accompanied by a warming, very light balsamic nuance, which ensures that the fragrance takes on a somewhat invitingly clear and soft quality, which I attribute to the cistus and labdanum.

In the last 3 hours, a fine, almost transparent floral, very subtle woody nuance can be perceived, which feels very dense, and I guessed rosewood and tobacco instead of guaiac wood.

The guaiac wood is enveloped by a fine mossy note, which provides a beautiful clarifying finish and is thanks to tree moss.

Overall, the fragrance lasts 8.5 hours on my skin.

The sillage is designed from the beginning to be clearly perceived at half an arm's length, and this is maintained for 4 hours before it gradually diminishes until the fragrance finally fades completely.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to our Parfumo "Verbaplex" for the sample.

The Little Sister of Narcotico
It's quite interesting how controversial both fragrances (twins) are rated here, and I'm surprised that Narcotico is rated significantly better. We are evaluating this objectively, aren't we? The question arises, why do you rate the supposedly more animalistic one better than this "more normal" deep underbrush giant? Do you prefer it to be more childish now? Not everyone here has a Hello Kitty nose.
So, I prefer this one, it might have something to do with my career choice, but that's another story and doesn't belong here; just like EVERYTHING PRIVATE, THAT DOESN'T BELONG HERE EITHER!! IT ONLY BORES PEOPLE!

Wood at its Best.
Full throttle on the thunder beams. Crunchy rotten underbrush. Moss-green chipped bark. Mulch. Naked.
Dark gloom. In the witch's house, not a single LED is burning. Hansel and Gretel have long been one floor down, on the 31st. No smoke, that would be too much of a good thing. Incense yes, but not flammable. Spicy from this onion stuff on the forest floor, what's it called again, wild garlic!, amphibian, empty red wine barrels (inside), all of this is what the perfume offers, and you have to be able to mix it all together like that. Nico can do it. Quite a crazy guy.

Patchouli hesitates between earthy-bitter and plant-sweet, choosing the second option, developing aromatic resins and later flowers.

Patchouli in fresh green-brown. Moss and dark earth. Herbal, resinous, spicy. Sweetly intoxicating. I don't find oud.

At first a hint of oud, then patchouli, nothing more and nothing less. One-dimensional and boring.

From the start, a powerful, heavy, spicy, sweet patchouli dominates. Later, it clearly gives way to green, mossy notes. Masculine.
