Oriental Touch Alverde 2011

I really don't know what got into me to buy this fragrance. I had been warned: Oriental Touch is similar to Angel, and I abhor Angel.
It's not quite as bad as that, because the Alverde juice is a lot less gaudy than Angel and at least it doesn't give me headaches. And there is something to it. Maybe I'll get used to the fragrance after all.

I find the fragrance quite durable, especially as it can be revived by moisture (shower, rain, perspiration). Water it a little and it comes to bloom again. Even the melon which evaporates first can be resurrected by moisture. I found this resurrection effect in other fragrances as well, but never so strong as in this one.

I only wanted to test "Oriental Touch" to find out how inadequate it is. But there will be no scathing review: this little fragrance is dreamy!

“Oriental Touch” is a truly wonderful oriental fragrance, which apparently contains much more than the fragrance pyramid claims. Perfect Ylang-Ylang essences - yes! Sun-kissed honey melons from the bazaar - yes! Bergamot - whoa - a little! But there are also such enchanting, warm-spicy woods involved that it knocks my socks off. Which woods exactly, I cannot say. Warm, cozy oriental spices are also mixed in - something like a blend of cardamom, saffron, clove, and tons of sesame. Sesame, sesame, and more sesame.

Fortunately, I don't smell any vanilla or sugar. The combination is simply perfect as it is, balanced and unexpectedly sensual-feminine. I would have expected a poppy wannabe-oriental for twelve-year-olds. In reality, however, “Oriental Touch” is a high-quality, sinfully beautiful oriental veil that is surprisingly rich, buttery soft, and yet not comatose-inducing.

The longevity is the next surprise hit. Even in moderate doses, it smells powerfully without fading in the slightest. Even after showering, the scent is still noticeable. One can certainly do without a significant scent development!

I am floored like a peanut butter sandwich. While I am the biggest Alverde fan and have pretty much everything in the bathroom that the brand puts on the market, I have so far kept a wide berth from the fragrances. That will now change: “Oriental Touch” is a must on my next Budni visit (it is by far the best scent from Alverde).

First of all: Since I've been having increasing problems with synthetic fragrance and ingredient components for some time now, I completely switched to natural cosmetics, including fragrances. This has been beneficial for me. Therefore, I've recently added quite a few new arrivals to my collection, including this one.

Actually, I don't like oriental fragrances. Too heavy, too overwhelming, not suited to my type. But this one has something. I don't smell anything from "Angel," "Wish," or any other sweet stuff. The fragrance isn't sweet at all. For me, "Oriental Touch" has a distinct "Coco Mademoiselle" note. My nose can easily pick out bergamot and ylang-ylang, and when I look at the fragrance notes of Chanel, that's exactly what's in there. This CM note runs through this beautiful scent like a red thread for my nose. As a very pleasant, fine thread, because nothing overwhelms me here, unlike the Chanel.

I can't smell any melon, which I don't really regret. Melon has no place here.

The base still resembles CM. Vanilla and tonka bean are present in both. Chanel also has patchouli, while Alverde has sandalwood. Whether it's actually sandalwood here or perhaps just a hint of patchouli, I can't tell. Just enough to say that it has an oriental-spicy, by no means sweet component. I can perceive the fragrance well for about 3 hours, then a delicate hint remains. For me personally, that's fine; without chemicals, that's just how it is.

Alverde has really done something nice here, and for a purely natural cosmetic fragrance, it's surprisingly complex.

I stumbled upon this fragrance quite by chance in the natural cosmetics section of the DM store. The test on my elbow was truly surprising.
The scent lives up to its name and doesn’t smell a bit “ECO”.
I usually enjoy wearing “Shalimar” or “Angel”. Both are quite expensive. If my nose isn’t mistaken, Oriental Touch is really an affordable alternative for everyday use. It has a bit less vanilla than Shalimar, and it’s less “punchy” than Angel. But the scent character is quite similar.

As for longevity, the fragrance doesn’t last quite as long as the mentioned designer perfumes. But at this price, it’s no problem to reapply more often! I hope that the perfume remains in the DM range.

I've had the blue oriental from the natural cosmetics manufacturer Alverde for a few weeks now, but only now, with the first truly fresh autumn days, does it really come into its own. This natural perfume impresses not only with very good longevity but also with an incredibly delicious and unique scent.
The opening greets cool and fruity, like a real fresh and fragrant honeydew melon, but the warm, spicy patchouli-sandalwood theme is present from the start and develops beautifully throughout the day into a cozy Christmas cookie scent with a very appetizing vanilla note and subtle sweetness.
Oriental Touch is by no means an ordinary little girl’s sweet stuff with loud or intrusive flavor-enhancing special effects. Despite its cozy warmth, it maintains an airy clarity, calm, and balance that makes it feel modern, grown-up, and almost a bit serious.
Even with careful dosing, it easily lasts from morning until evening after work!
Respect, Alverde, what you offer (for less than 8 euros!) is impressive and easily puts many expensive fragrances in the shade - please keep it in your lineup!

I am very happy to give it a full score with a clear conscience.
