Wunderwelt Alverde 2019

One of those surprises that you find in the usual drugstores when you travel to other countries...warm and clean at the same time, perfect when it's hot, ideal when it's cold. A very adaptable and beautiful fragrance, catchy like a good melody that you can't get out of your head. Some resinous vanilla wrapped in vegetation, a little acidic sweetness from some oranges. Fabulous

Today I strolled through DM and my eyes caught on the Alverde display.

The bottles and presentation reminded me of Rocher - and the addition of "natural fragrances" made me step closer.

The names of the bottles also sounded promising: Daydream, Joyful Leap, and Wonderworld.

I reached for Wonderworld and after spraying, I was wide-eyed.

Orange with cinnamon feels festive - but also fits in autumn.
The lavender radiates calmness and the vanilla is soft but hardly sweet, just delicately sweetish.
The cedar appears transparent in the background.

A harmonious scent that stays close to the skin and lightly envelops me.

The composition of the fragrance also positively reminds me of the Rocher scents - but the price is even cheaper.

Incredible.

However, time constraints drove me out of the store - and I noticed that the longevity is not overwhelming.

But that doesn't have to be the case - because at this low price, you can easily spray again.

....then the expensive labels should consider why!
Well, for me as a "user," the matter is quite clear. Very high-quality, natural ingredients have been used here! While there aren't 100 different fragrance notes, the relatively few are of very good quality and finely tuned to each other. The first thing that strikes me is a wonderfully "herbaceous" true lavender, which reigns supreme at the top of the hierarchy. As the guardian of the other aromas: fresh-warm citrus fruits, spicy cinnamon, and all the beautiful woods that follow. With the earthy component of well-aged patchouli.
The small, extravagant "whiffs" like amber, vanilla, and resins run through the perfume almost from the very beginning. Fine nuances in a casual-natural style. Comfort factor 8 to 10. Steadfast and well radiating! Hats off for a SO-CALLED drugstore scent that is actually already "niche"!
And the price is more than moderate for such a "beautiful little treasure"!

I was browsing through the fragrance shelf at dm when the Alverde scents caught my eye. Oh, natural cosmetics in the fragrance world?! I was curious about what natural scents there were for THAT price. Although they are supposed to be women's fragrances, I decided to test them. The other scents were definitely aimed at women, but "Wunderwelt" captivated me immediately. Still unsure how the fragrance would develop, I left the store after spraying it on. Even after hours, I was surprised at how well it suited me as a man. So the next day I went back and took it home...
The intensity of the fragrance does fade after a few hours, but you can still pleasantly perceive it for a long time. I can only recommend this scent for the price and its naturalness for both men and women!!!

...at least for me personally. I would be happy to have someone disagree with me on this. This gem from the second cheapest price range inevitably reminds me of "Wild" by Dsquared2. An underrated Eau de Toilette for men.

Ah, I have long missed a scent like "Wild," and now "Wunderwelt" by Alverde evokes a memory of one of my favorite fragrances, which, like many other special perfumes, has long been discontinued. Moreover, I believe that "Wild" is unjustly overlooked.

As can be gathered from some comments and statements about this perfume, the thought that "Wunderwelt," despite its subtly kitschy title, is also suitable for men does not come from nowhere.

Of course, "Wunderwelt" does not smell exactly like "Wild." Yet despite the entirely different ingredients, "Wunderwelt" often gives me lovely moments that remind me of "Wild," which comes across as a bit fresher, resinous, spicier, and clearer.

In "Wunderwelt," sometimes the vanilla dominates in symbiosis with the orange, and sometimes the cinnamon is a bit stronger. There is always a creamy sweetness and something woody that personally reminds me of polished wooden furniture from old times.

I think it is an intimate scent that is primarily suitable for close encounters. There, the longevity and sillage, relative to the price, are quite solid. Two sprays of "Wunderwelt" were enough on my skin for an intense sillage that accompanied me throughout the evening.
So close to the body, like my favorite from Dsquared2, "Wild," with a discreet yet noticeable sillage. An elegant, seductively cozy scent for intimate togetherness or for discreet flirting. In the end, towards the early morning, "Wild" lingered longer, smelling close to the body like a freshly applied cream.

However, visually and due to its somewhat heavier sweetness, "Wunderwelt" does seem more modest. The assumption of some perfume enthusiasts here is not entirely wrong, even if for me personally, there is no association with the Christmas season. Rather, it evokes a consistently positive association with creams, warming Islay Scotch, and a quaint herbal and wooden pharmacy furniture.
I suspect the Christmas association is due to the visual design of "Wunderwelt."

My respect for such a perfume creation goes to the drugstore chain "dm"!
