Musky and balsámic flowers
Probably my favourite of the Ángela Chiampagna líne. To my nose It is a musky floral. I get the gardenia and the ylang ylang, very natural, giving a soft and powdery character to the fragrance. The background is ambery and balsámic, with a creamy Benzoin and tolu balm and a bit Smoky incense.
The perfume is not very intense but long lasting. It is always there, at tour black, slightly but continuos, creating a very nice aura around you. It is a very original perfume, perhaps not for all tastes but if you like I think you would probably LOVE It.
I see It as an elegant scent, perfect for daytime use, unisex, for those Who want to smell different. It goes Direct to my wishlist!

A Day in the Life of the Perfume Faun
The first rays of sunlight peeked through the blinds and kissed the faun’s face awake. He stretched once more, then Floyd got up. A new day! He was already looking forward to gardening. Like every day. For countless years, as Floyd was a retiree. First, he drank his morning root brew, flipped through the Happy Gardener Daily (today's headline: Sensation! GiGandixer Pumpkin Cultivated!) and then let his gaze wander through the window facade towards the garden. Now, one must know: garden did not mean English lawn, neatly trimmed trees and hedges, and the obligatory birdhouse. No, Floyd loved to dig and shovel by hand and, above all, the scents that reminded him of his garden. He experienced these scents and allowed them to guide him in his gardening. Today it was Fauni. Almost named after him. He smiled. His gnome company, partly broken, did not smile. Crovoche and Pollus, the purple chicken gnome, were even lying face down on the ground.

Now he descended into his garden, directly greeted by his benzoin trees. Oh, he wanted to harvest that sweet-warm, powdery-chocolate resin! So he scrubbed a bit at it and now drizzled his hands with the harvested resin. With this, he could further influence the other ingredients of Fauni accordingly. He smiled mischievously.
First, he rolled over the ground, turning up numerous flowers so that a warm green was evoked, a hint of grassy cocoa lingered in the air. Floyd took a deep breath, as his action uprooted the flowers and the smell of fresh earth rose up. This blend smelled not unlike patchouli. Oh, he knew what that meant. This vanillic sweetness came from the tolu tree. Quickly, he embraced the tree very warmly. He almost got stuck in the resin. Moment, stay a while, you are so beautiful!

No wonder he was now perceiving more and more woody notes and Fauni was bidding farewell to the floral impressions. This indefinable wood - Floyd could no longer identify the dead trunks he had stacked in the garden - was enveloped by a gentle yet intense smoke. Floyd had ignited the resin of Somali frankincense. It smelled darker than other types of frankincense, and thus a mysterious facet settled over the grove of fauns.

Floyd now mentally drifted away from this earthly world, perhaps because he had inhaled too many plant substances that the scent did not foresee. So he dreamed of Elysian forests, danced the ring dance with other fauns, plunged into muddy puddles, and enjoyed existence as a chthonic-loving being, which he was by passion and definition.
When he came back to himself, he was overcome with wonder. Wonder because he noticed that Fauni was now limited to the base notes. It smelled earthy-spicy, balsamic, the sweetness of benzoin and tolu balm perfected the scent. Thus, Floyd lingered in memory, lost in thought in his garden.

You shouldn't light a rubber in a church!
Fauni is a fragrance from the travel package, which includes scents from simimi, Alyson Oldoini, and Angela Ciampagna.

I wasn't familiar with any of these brands before, but I have to say that I find Angela Ciampagna's bottles really cool. I know, I know, maybe I get a bit too excited about beautiful things, but I don't care! :D
If the scents smell even half as good as the bottles look, then a lovely fragrance experience is just around the corner… well… given my recent luck in some things (*sigh* :D), this scent probably won't appeal to me too much either, but you never know, right? :)

*spray spray test test*

Oh,… wow, the scent turned out quite nice (phew, dodged a bullet there :D). And besides the generally pleasant scent, it also has a somewhat special note that I actually didn't mind! So, now let me get to the scent description!

The scent:
At first, I smell a slight medicinal note that quickly turns into a resinous scent. This note was probably the beginning of the (light) incense. There’s also a little sweetness that makes the scent very pleasant along with the airy incense. However, I can't identify the scents listed in the top notes of the fragrance pyramid. I don't smell anything green, and even the floral notes seem weak and are certainly not identifiable.
The sweetness could perhaps come from the floral notes, but part of it also comes from the amber.
The background is difficult to describe, as it has a somewhat unusual scent. It may sound strange when I describe this background note as rubber, but it somehow reminds me of that, just that it smells better than actual rubber. I think it must be a type of resin that smells like this.
Thus, the scent transitions into the heart note, remaining essentially the same, as it continues to smell smoky-sweet with now slight flowers in the background that can be smelled a bit better, although I still can't identify them.
The scent becomes increasingly softer, feels very pleasant on the skin, which is probably due to the balsam that I see in the fragrance pyramid. Even in the later stages of the scent, you can still smell incense here, along with sweet notes, as well as another sweet note from the musk, which blends well with the other fragrance notes and together creates a beautiful scent. I still can't identify the flowers and even feel that these floral notes have become weaker again in the base. The strangely slightly rubbery resin, which gave the scent a distinctive note that was something different, unfortunately doesn't last too long in the base and gradually disappears, so that later on, you basically only smell sweet, soft incense.

The sillage and longevity:
Even though the sillage is not close to the body, it is still somewhat weaker for an incense scent than one would expect from such fragrances. You can smell the scent more from close up, and I don't think it will leave too large a scent cloud behind.
The longevity, on the other hand, is better. Even though the scent should only be faintly present on the skin after many hours, it is still detectable at the sprayed spot even after many hours. I would therefore estimate the longevity at about ten to twelve hours, more or less, depending on the dosage.

The bottle:
The bottle is one of the most beautiful bottles I know. The lower part is rectangular and filled with golden fragrance liquid. The label, which seems to hang from a ribbon, looks as if it is made of fabric rather than paper and features the logo of Angela Ciampagna. The cap is black and cylindrical on the underside. On the upper side, it bears the logo of this brand like a sculpture, which looks like an artistically carved wheel made of wood. Everything is really beautifully done.

Hmm…. Fauni has become an interesting incense scent that stands out due to two features. First, for an incense scent, it is weaker than one might think. This is something you don't usually expect from incense fragrances. But that's not so bad, as the sillage is at least not close to the body, so no worries here; plus, the scent lasts long :)

Secondly, the scent has a peculiar but still nice background note that seems somewhat unusual, especially if you're looking for something "new" in a fragrance. Of course, this note is limited, as it is weak and doesn't make the scent too extraordinary, but let's be honest: Today, the market is nearly saturated with fragrances, so even the more expensive niche scents often smell very similar. While this note mostly disappears in the base, well, until then you can still smell it, and even after its disappearance, the scent remains very nice.

So, you might want to check out this scent, especially if you're looking for a sweet and slightly floral incense scent with a small, special note. So, Fauni has become a lovely scent for autumn and winter. Nice, slightly special, and pleasant.

Fauni is a musky and balsámic flowery scent. Gardenia and ylang come straight from a creamy and ambery back of Benzoin and tolu balm. Great!

Beautiful, but unfortunately a bit too subtle. The contrast of green notes and sweet resins on incense is well done, the flowers ....

Tender faun with balsamically sweet skin drinks herbal tea and eats gingerbread. Just a hint of fragrance. Definitely worship-worthy on a man.
