Bang-average rose oud
For some reason everyone seems to like Nemer, I just don't see anything unique or standout about it. On first spray, I mostly get a jammy rose. I've seen questions about what exactly "jammy" means so let me explain: it's rose that's very sweet, giving the impression of rose-petal jam, or even rose mixed with fruits. There aren't any fruity notes explicitly mentioned, but one reviewer mentioned figs, and I can see that, but I actually get an even sharper and sweeter fruity smell than fig, at least in the opening few seconds. The oud is not very prominent; at least in an animalic/medicinal capacity, it just seems mostly woody, like a cypriol/cedar combination. The saffron comes off mostly synthetic, and I feel like doesn't do much to add to the rose/oud experience. As far as this style of oriental honeyed/jammy rose/oud/amber goes, I'd much much rather have Amber Aoud Parfum; though people complain about the lack of oud accord in the Roja, it definitely feels more real than in here. The price difference is minimal; actually I think Amber Aoud is cheaper on discounters.

But the worst part is the performance. I understand if a high concentration, oud heavy fragrance sits close to the skin, but it has to last long too. Nemer stops projecting after an hour (I'm being generous here) and has all but disappeared after 4 or 5. Absolutely unacceptable for this type of fragrance, and at this price point.

The silent dragon!
Opulent by nature. This is a bold and refined scent very well blended oud/saffron/rose combo with some sandalwood in the base providing a creamy, vevelty vive. Absolutely enjoyable and a must to try for those who appreciate an exquisite Middle Eastern character with yet a near by British refinement. Probably one of the best offerings from the house.

480 Euros?
Hello dear Boadicea team, is this really your serious offer? I would have guessed 50 to 60 or even a Rasasi for 12 euros. It opens like countless other rose/oud fragrances. I would be lying if I said now: "but higher quality than the others." No, not at all. Rather worse even, "Oud Silk Mood," for example, shows how it can be done. The "Nemer" smells to me personally too bland and too unspectacular, does "minimalistic" sound better? Terra is right, "Nemer" is not a rose scent and not a sweet caramel scent either. The rose actually disappears quite soon after 2 to 3 hours almost completely, and the caramel doesn't even appear at all, at least not for me. "Nemer" is much more a simply constructed and straightforward rose/oud scent. I have my issues with oud anyway, but I am gradually getting closer. Starting with the Nasomattos, then moving on to the sweeter representatives like "M7" and "Cruel Intentions" to the disturbing masterpieces by Kurkdjian. In the meantime, I have come to know "Oud" by Reminiscence, "Oud Shamash," and many others. I have even come to appreciate and respect the strict Xerjoffs, even if they are not to my taste, they really can do something.

However, "Nemer" now presents me with a whole new oud hurdle: not fecal and not animalic, but still rather unpleasant for my nose, this oud reminds me of "Lavande 44." Somewhat musty like skin after visiting a public swimming pool with a dirty pool and a broken shower afterwards. And much more does not happen, after 20 minutes the development on my skin is practically completely through. Only the remaining trace of the beautiful, clear rose reconciles a bit. I really don't need that, but I wish everyone who likes "Nemer" lots of fun wearing the fragrance and admiring the wonderful bottle in 24-karat gold. Unfortunately, for my taste, it is one of the poorer Boadiceas and completely independent of the price and the slight mustiness, a powerless, uninspired, and expressionless scent without any special recognizability...

This is how Oud should smell...
I would like to disagree with my predecessors on a few points. Nemer is not a rose scent - Nemer is not really sweet.

Nemer is a very classic, absolutely simple Oud fragrance. Rose and Oud. It only differs from an Armani, Guerlain, etc. Oud in that truly high-quality ingredients have been used here.

Real rose, high-quality rose. Accompanying it is real, beautiful, and very ethereal Oud. Hardly animalic or musty. The scent thus appears very woody, balsamic, and soft - at the same time, the Oud gives a certain "hardness".

As a counterpart, I would mention Homage by Amouage. The rose in this fragrance is a bit fresher, brighter, and clearer. It appears even more noble. The Oud there seems a bit more valuable as well, but is also somewhat more reserved, and any fecal component seems to be absent.

Homage appears more radiant - Nemer appears more masculine. Both are wonderful.

Nemer is the only Boadicea the Victorious that I know of that has truly convinced me.

Here, you are not just paying for the bottle!

Positively Tuned, Fruity-Lively Oriental Rose
Now my old price record has been broken! After Kurkdjian's "Oud," the "Tiger" casually slides by, cranking the price insanity spiral even higher.

As always, I am reassured that even in the highest price segment, ultimately only water (and admittedly noble raw essences) are used/cooked, and it doesn't create any pressure to buy that could lead to financial ruin.

"Nemer" is undoubtedly a finely crafted fragrance with strong sillage and longevity. It starts off quite complex, a refreshingly done rose framed by saffron, which comes across smoothly (and not plasticky, as I have often encountered). The rose itself can also be described as fruity, is it from the jasmine absolute? Floral, lively, slightly tart, yet truly fine and well-balanced.

Lively is indeed the most fitting term for this type of rose. The underlying freshness appeals to me, while saffron and gradually emerging oud contribute to an oriental touch that ensures complexity, yet does not stifle the spring-like quality and virility of the rose or jasmine.

A certain opulence cannot be denied in this fragrance, of course - anyone who sets up such a golden vat surely wants to make an olfactory statement.
This can become somewhat annoying after a few hours. Even though the floral aspect recedes a bit later, "Nemer" remains quite hefty and rich.

Never a candidate for purchase, but still nice to smell due to its positively tuned fruity-oriental rose.

A rose saffron oud combination at a high level. At the beginning it "shows its claws", at the end "purrs" like a kitten.

Truly astonishing rose-oud-saffron combo, I really enjoy it. Has a medicinal vibe to it, but I think it complements the scent very nice.

Saffron-rose open, followed by aromatic/tar-like oud & chocolaty patchouli. Mildly earthy dry-down of oud & sandalwood (little rose left).

Dreamy oud laid on roses. Captivating and sensual from the very first second. Absolutely magnificent.

The tiger has cooled off in earthy, musty swamp water. Then he brushes past the dried roses and startles the ladies.

Velvety, sensual rose/oud; opening with lots of saffron. Elegant red roses in soft earth. Balsamic, woody cuddle toy in the Orient.

Floral and watery: green rose marries jasmine with a hint of animalistic oud, without being overpowering. Very unusual.

I can’t breathe. Rose is okay, but the animalistic notes are too strong, smells like an old lady to me, though well-groomed, but too much, price is unacceptable.
