Scent:
In the first few seconds after spraying, Tag Him comes across as slightly synthetic. But as soon as the cheap alcohol evaporates, a remarkable and distinctive scent develops.
In the top notes, grapefruit and a slightly spicy, peppery freshness are particularly noticeable. To be honest, I hardly pick up anything from the heart notes, perhaps just a hint of ginger. However, the base notes are all the more beautiful: especially the sandalwood is prominent, along with a blend of familiar, herbaceous-masculine notes like cedar, vetiver, and patchouli.
At an unbeatable price of about €25 / 100ml, I believe one can confidently take the plunge with a blind purchase.
Longevity & Sillage:
Here we come to an unexpected strength of this cheapie. The sillage is absolutely impressive. For 2-3 hours, there is a strong projection present.
The longevity on my skin is 6 hours.
Versatility:
In my opinion, Tag Him is primarily suited for the warmer months, but it is neither inappropriate nor negatively noticeable in any season or occasion.
The freshness and lightness qualify this perfume for spring and summer; in autumn and winter, I tend to reach for sweeter, heavier, and longer-lasting alternatives.
Edit:
I have now been able to compare this scent with Bleu de Chanel EdP, and I don't find them particularly similar. In the drydown, there are recognizable hints, but otherwise, these two perfumes smell quite different to me.
