Interesting Facts

Born in 1960, Antonio Banderas, the silver-screen star, is best known from his dazzling Hollywood days where he appeared in films such as "The Expendables 3", "The Legend of Zorro", or "Philadelphia". Since then, Banderas has mastered all genres from action films to dubbing ("Shrek") to romance.

However, the actor's Spanish roots led him to obtain the role of the fiery lover at the beginning of his career. And it is precisely this image that contributed to the launch of the Antonio Banderas' fragrance collection for both men and women.

Antonio Banderas' first fragrance was called "Diavolo for Men" (after-shave and Eau de Toilette), had a spicy-citrus aroma and appeared in 1997, when he had just made a name for himself with "Desperado" and "Assassins - The Killers".

The label gradually released new exquisite fragrances, underpinning the designer's reputation as a seducer, lover and masculine conqueror. Even a glance at the names of the individual fragrances made it clear and obvious where the journey was going.

Names like "Spirit for Men", "Diavolo Extremely for Men" (both 2004) or "Miami Seduction for Men" (2018) are common for the label. Simultaneously, many male fragrances are met with female counterparts ("Diavolo for Women" etc.). In addition to the collections "Cocktail", "Electric", "Miami", and "Diavolo", the "Secret" series of women's and men's fragrances showed great success.

Antonio Banderas' fragrances gained extra popularity by their original flacons, bold colors, and visually appealing shapes (feminine heart shape and masculine glass blocks).
