Seemingly a Tad Bland
I had a bit of a crisis over this for a while, as I found it a tad bland. I'm not sure even now that I quite think it justifies its £2.50 per ml price-brackett, but my opinion has greatly improved over what it was at first.
It's intensely musky, but perhaps not quite so intensely as it ought to be @ its price. It's rather like a Narciso Rodriguez 'fume - a turbocharged version of one; but, again, I think not quite as turbocharged as it ought to be. The musk is of the °quiet° kind - that is, the kind that seems @ frist to be °not there°; and whilst I do genuinely appreciate this kind of musk, I do think it would behove that it be a tad more explicit than it actually is in this. Let us remember that the Narciso Rodriguez 'fumes are @bout a thrid of the price of this - the ones in the flat oblong bottles a tad less, & the ones in the nearly cubick bottles a tad more; & this one is by no means a betripl't version of one of them, even fairly taking into account the °quietness° of the kind of musk used! Except in one respect possibly: ths stuff is ^extremely^ tenacious - much more so than the initial impression it makes would lead one to believe; & in ^that^ respect it probably ^is^ triple a NR 'fume.
