Beautiful, but not for the price
First and foremost, I love Greenwich Village. I don't get the BR540 vibes that others do: to me, Greenwich Village opens with a note of fresh fruits (the black currant and citrus are juicy, and the lychee is a nice addition). It mellows out over time to a really beautiful patchouli and oak moss, and the florals (I smell the jasmine the most) neither overpower nor get lost.
That said, Bond No. 9 is an expensive house. While Greenwich Village has great longevity on me (sillage is only so-so), it's still difficult for many to justify the cost. It's a beautiful fragrance, but very pricey. I'd recommend testing it first (buy a 1 ml sample, wear it numerous times). If you really love it, try to find it on a trusted discount site or from a trusted secondhand/souk/marketplace. I love mine intensely, and I bought a tester because even as much as I love it, I couldn't justify the price of getting it at retail.
