Powdery Rose Bliss in a Bottle!
This is how I hoped Jean Brosseau's Ombre Rose would smell. But Ombre Rose smelled dated to me, as if it was a throwback to the 19th century. Rose Poudre has an elegant vintage appeal yet still feels very modern at the same time. What distinguishes this for me the most from Ombre Rose is that there is actual rose used here. In Ombre Rose I wasn't sure about that. I just sensed the rose, or rather, envisioned the rose, but I never really got the scent of rose outright. Here I get a bouquet of mixed, sweet, spicy roses wrapped up in a musky powder on an amber base. The combination of notes diffuse beautifully around me in an elegant, soft, powdery cloud. While the silage is low, it is always present, and something that I was not only aware of but could smell the whole time I wore it. This is not an intrusive scent either, as it will not impose itself upon others around you or scream PERFUME. People will just think you smell good.

Overall, this is only slightly stronger than a fragrance mist, but unlike something like that, has great longevity where a few sprays lasted and could be smelled throughout the day. It really is very pretty and I'm finding somewhat addictive, as I've been craving it more and more lately. And while I've sworn off backups because of the already ridiculous size of my perfume wardrobe, I just might make an exception for this.

Modern meets Vintage
The fragrance pyramid immediately appealed to me, as I love rose and powder scents. I was really looking forward to testing Rose Poudre.

Rose Poudre is a wonderful blend of modern and vintage... The rose is a very modern, fresh, and delicate rose refined with a touch of vintage powder.

First, I can clearly detect the bergamot. It is fresh and green, as vetiver joins in as well. The delicate rose, musk, and sweet vanilla come in finely powdered.

The powder now becomes stronger, and more sweetness (caramel?) and more musk come through...

Then the scent doesn’t change much for me... It remains a musk-rose-powder scent on my skin with a well-perceptible green accent that lasts until the end.

I really like the scent, as it stands out absolutely from other rose-powder fragrances.

Great niche rose vintage-powder scent :)

Again a big Rose
I have nothing to do with bubble baths. I don’t like bathing in a tub of hot water, especially not with soapy bubble baths. I only shower. Even then, I hate the slipperiness that comes with the mountains of foam from any shower gel or liquid soap. I am a confessed soap user. And I love soaps with rose scents.
But even with the soaps, I wouldn’t like the strength of "Rose Poudre." "Rose Poudre" is simply exaggerated over a long period. I first smell rose, very bold and enriched with a concentrated dose of aldehydes. It makes me sneeze. Nevertheless, I am somewhat relieved that I perceive the rose at this strength. Because lately, I had a bit of blindness regarding rose. Often, I only smelled a hint and then mainly fruity rosehip shell. While that is the fruit of wild dog and apple roses, I am not so thrilled about it. Rosehip tea is for me "youth hostel tea," I don’t need that in fragrances anymore.
So here it is: plenty of rose scent, albeit synthetic and exaggerated. There is no truly authentic rose scent. No recreated rose scent comes close to the scent of a real rose; there are only more or less good approximations. "Rose Poudre" is a really clumsy approximation.
Only after some time does "Rose Poudre" become a bit lighter, creamier.
After about 3 hours, "Rose Poudre" calms down and becomes resinous. "Rose Poudre" even smells slightly woody, probably from the burnt sugar of the caramel, extinguished just in time with water before it smells bitter. Additionally, I perceive a hint of green. Could that be vetiver? The moss is also positively effective. I don’t smell jasmine distinctly; it’s just there, I suspect, to enhance the rose scent.
"Rose Poudre" doesn’t excite me. I wouldn’t want to wear it as a perfume. I have a taste of it on my tongue, even though I only sprayed one wrist on the inside. There are finer rose scents. This scent is simply too strong and too synthetic for me. And I don’t find "Rose Poudre" powdery, just creamy. Of course, "Rose Poudre" is a purely feminine scent. The longevity is good, the sillage is quite impressive over several hours.
P.S. Lastly, I remember that I once tested and commented on a similarly extravagant rose scent, namely "Manhattan Rose 44" by Krigler. However, that one was sharper and greener, waxy. (MRH44 was at that time in the extensive rose traveling package from Florblanca)

Feels old-fashioned and dusty.
The rose is faded and the musk settles on it like a heavy white layer of makeup on withered skin.

The strict governess, scented with rose oil, takes the powdered baby for a stroll in the park. The lawns are lush green and well-kept.

Miss Marple investigates, freshly powdered + creamed in the rose garden. Collects aphids from the leaves. Old pink + old-fashioned. Not my rose.

Such a bright, friendly, approachable rose scent. Delicate powder, unsweetened green-bitter hints, thankfully I don't notice caramel. Thank you, M

Rose scents often tend to overwhelm the olfactory senses. Here, this floral note is wonderfully embedded in a powdery-creamy way. Beautiful!

Lipstick notes thankfully turn slightly mossy-sparkling, subtly sweet-spicy. A beautiful rose powder!

Rose powder, with a slight edge from the vetiver, but that fades away, leaving only a gentle powdery scent. Interesting and intriguing.

The bottle should be pink. A retro powdery dream that you’ve smelled many times before.
