An Urban Fragrance for the Modern Gentleman
Brooklyn by the Brooklyn Soap Company has captivated me from the very beginning. It is a modern, uncomplicated Eau de Parfum that conveys urban chic while also providing a pleasant lightness.

The Fragrance:
Immediately after application, a fresh and citrusy top note unfolds, radiating clarity and vitality. However, the perfume does not stop at freshness: over time, aromatic herbs and a gently spicy note blend in, giving the fragrance more depth and character. Particularly pleasant is that Brooklyn never feels too heavy or intrusive. It remains elegant and wearable, ideal for everyday use or special occasions.

Performance:
The longevity pleasantly surprised me. Despite its light freshness, the fragrance lasts solidly for several hours on the skin and unfolds beautifully. The sillage is subtle, never coming across as unpleasant - just right for those who prefer not to be too intense.

Conclusion:
Brooklyn is an ideal companion for men who value a well-groomed, modern appearance. The fragrance feels high-quality without being overwhelming, and it is definitely versatile. Those in search of an urban, timeless, and understated scent will find it here.

Overall, a clear recommendation for anyone looking for a stylish addition to their fragrance collection.

Wear me at work where I am going to wear off!
The title is very fitting in my opinion.
This fragrance is a great everyday companion for work (but certainly also for the gym or leisure in general).

This is subjectively due to the fact that the scent is very quiet and probably won't even be noticed. Only in close proximity. That means the fragrance is very close to the skin and quite subtle after 1-2 hours. The nice thing for me is that I still perceive it again and again. But what exactly do I perceive?

For me, the scent starts off spicy-citrusy and quickly transitions into a creamy citrus fragrance. If you spray too much at once, it comes off a bit soapy. Probably due to lavender notes.

The mentioned creaminess combined with the freshness of lemon really smells very pleasant and comforting. The scent is very linear and does not develop further. The reason for my purchase was that I really liked the beard oil with the same scent direction. However, the beard oil is, in my opinion, a bit more citrusy and less 'creamy-soapy'.

Conclusion: If you are looking for a fresh-creamy-lemony clean man scent, you will find it here. Due to the very weak longevity and sillage, just take the bottle with you and reapply as often as you like. Otherwise, the title is the program. For the price, I think it's a nice pleasure.

A fragrance with more than one surprise:
Thanks to a nice comment from a perfumer, I found the motivation and am now writing my first fragrance review.

Brooklyn is undoubtedly a fragrance that is highly fascinating and uniquely combines freshness and citrus notes with green tones and spiciness in equal measure. What makes it unique is a certain lightness that is noticeable in every fragrance note, without losing depth. This scent caught my attention more than once during our first encounter, and I wondered how it manages to evoke such fascination.
Here is my attempt at an explanation:
"From nothing to something", American Dream, New York City, Gin and Tonics. These associations are triggered by the fragrance, and I recognize them.

As soon as I spray the fragrance, I immediately notice the cypress and juniper, which remind me of a Gin Tonic. But just a few seconds later, the lime becomes increasingly prominent, adding a citrus-fresh note that creates a clear contrast to the green-bitter base note. This shift between the different notes constitutes the first surprise.

The second surprise occurs in the drydown: The Gin Tonic transforms into a Gin Fizz, with the juniper and lime remaining while mint joins in. The mint is distinctly noticeable and stays present for quite a while before it is gradually replaced by a modern interpretation of a fougère. This interpretation is extremely well done and fascinating in its development.

Finally, the fragrance reaches its surprising conclusion, characterized by incense and cedar. This gives the fragrance an unexpected but elegant note.

Unfortunately, the fragrance dissipates a bit too quickly, although with a longevity of about 6 hours, it is still reasonable considering the freshness and the price. However, I expected a bit more due to the green notes. The sillage is good and perceptible for a long time, but not extraordinary.
I find the bottle simple, but fitting.
In summary, Brooklyn, you are not only a great neighborhood but also a great fragrance. For me, it is the perfect choice for a spring feel-good scent that is suitable for all occasions.

Classic opening with hesperidic notes.
Splash, mint refreshes.
And unfortunately chases away a Fougère with potential.
Chewing is okay... *

My partner's summer scent, perfect with the beard oil - a dream. Gin and tonic start, stays fresh and spicy, with a hint of cinnamon. Ah!

I love this scent. Citrusy, spicy, fresh. If H/S weren't absolutely below average, I would have found my signature scent long ago.

I'm a fan of the refreshing fougère Gin Tonic shower gel from the brand. When I asked if it might also come as a fragrance, I was told...

Fresh-spicy, energizing. Good for a long day at the office, but needs reapplication. More for men. Good, but not my style.
