Accident at the chemical plant - Department B [escaped substance unknown]
More and more often I notice a wood note in fragrances lately, which shows a pungent character. Even if this note was obviously only used for support in the base, I immediately feel a tingling sensation in my nose. I find this substance as main actor in Bvlgaris Onekh.
The fragrance starts with shower gel freshness, which is maintained throughout the entire process. What's that? You won't find it in the pyramid! Right, but it smells just like one of the many men's shower gels in the black tube. Light fruity notes are added, both immediately suppressed by dark leather, resin and wood. A parallel to the numerous raspberry-leather scents can certainly be seen, but does not play a major role here. Synthetic plasticoud mixes up the rough woody character.
Onekh's leading role plays a sharp, pungent-synthetic wood note. Due to the fragrance pyramid, which can never be idendified, I have often noticed it across mainstream and niche, but especially in cheap Arabic fragrances. Unfortunately this note gives me a headache, almost corrodes through my nose into my head and causes a constant swelling of my mucous membranes. Otherwise - even with extensive scent testing - actually not receptive to physical reactions, it drives me here after a short time to the sink. Anyone who feels that the material used is less caustic and sharp will certainly rate it differently. But even when trying to hide this note, I would have blindly assigned the fragrance to a cheap Arabic house or to one of the cheap (but brave) fashion houses like ZARA.
Anyone who reacts in a similar way to me at this point or has a guess as to which substance it might be may urgently leave an answer. Apart from that, there is nothing more I can say, except that the warming, spicy-ambry, almost cookie-chocolate base doesn't help the fragrance to score any more.
Durability and Sillage are very good, even after washing the scent is still clearly perceptible.
