Another masterpiece from the Le Gemme line

This is stunning, the perfect amount of dry, rubbery oud and spicy resins to balance the boozy vanilla. There is absolutely something in this formula giving it brightness- almost like a tea note. Not too sweet for daytime/casual wear. Great longevity, not a room-filler but consistent ~2ft projection throughout the day.

To the folks who say this isn't unique enough to justify the price, I hear you- but you are not the target demographic. Sure, you can find vanilla/oud scents for less (albeit none that smell like Orom), but out of dozens of decants in this scent category none have matched the quality and effervescence of Orom.

Ok....

I was eager to try Orom, as I have smelled all other fragrances from the le Gemme line (except Kobraa!).
Well, my first impression is.... ok. It is quite soft and introvert, with an emphasis on a dusty oud, rather than vanilla. The vanilla is unmistakenly present, though. It reminds me of Mancera's Vanilla Oud.
This sure isn't a creamy gourmand, what I was hoping for. Not bad, but nothing special.

Today is my first full wear. Ok, it was a tad bit better than I expected --> 7,5/10 :)

Unexpectedly familiar

I don't know why this fragrance is among the lesser-known Le Gemmes. Maybe the oud note scares people from trying this?
An oud fragrance I adore is Atkinson's "Oud Save The King". It smells suede-y, powdery, suave, confident, has a very magnetic Earl Grey Tea note, and the oud is not animalic, barnyard-y or fecal in any way. It's giving sweet, synthetic (in a good way), velvety-woody.

Orom shares the same base as Oud Save The King. Same type of sweetness, same oud, this one is slightly more resinous though. But not as resinous as, lets say, Grand Soir. Orom is a very comforting, elegant, masculine-leaning fragrance, which I would wear, but at this price point, i would personally go with Oud Save The King, or Penhaligon's "Babylon". This doesn't stop me from giving Orom the rating it deserves. It's done very well.

The absolute king

I've smelled, tried and owned alot of fragrances, none comes close to this masterpiece. The scent is absolutely divine and I always find myself reaching for it just to smell from the atomizer it is THAT good. Soft and creamy oud with warm and seductive vanilla, smells so rich and sophisticated. I'd rate this 15/10 if i could, very mass appealing as well and huge compliment getter. Congrats Bvlgari

Handbag from the Vanilla Milkway

“Orom” is a fantastic new addition to Bvlgari's Le Gemme collection. Very wintry, soft, and wonderful. A leather gourmand that is anything but off-the-shelf.

At first, it almost feels like a tamed “Tuscan Leather” with much less or no fruit at all. This pleasing sweetness is taken over by an expensive vanilla. The leather is distinct and bright. A beige dream to dream about. But certain oud notes provide a dark counterbalance. Overall, it has an otherworldly fluffy Milky Way aura. Leather has rarely been interpreted as creamy and cozy. In conjunction with the presentation of Le Gemmes, it is indeed a play of beauty and luxury, of armchair and shoe, of pastry and the Orient. Brilliant, but I think I would wear it too rarely for the price. Nevertheless, a feel-good fragrance from the highest shelf.

Bottle: pure class and beauty
Sillage: noticeable and assertive (outward), but never overpowering
Longevity: 7-10 hours, but with a wide range in extreme cold

Conclusion: useful both as a leather scent and as a vanilla crescent. More than that. Luxurious, noble, different, pleasant. Alien cuddle romance.
