A pale rose in a precious bottle

Here we are again! I'm going to write about Bulgari perfumes and the problem is always the same: the sillage.
This fragrance is light and pleasant, the rose notes give it a particularly feminin and soft touch. It's the perfect day scent in springtime-summer....but the sillage is too weak. It's a pale rose scent in a precious and expensive bottle.

Clean Creamy Rose

The bottle is huge and heavy, especially for a 1.7oz. Can’t even imagine what the 3.4 is like…It’s classy yet gawdy at the same time? Mixed feelings here.

Anyway, BEAUTIFUL fragrance! I adore fresh rosewater scents and this one has just the right amount of warm woodiness making it rich and clean, without ever becoming heavy or dark. Very reminiscent of Paul Smith Rose but with wood notes instead of green notes. Actually the two smell fantastic layered together!

This is creamy and clean, floral and bright, but also serious and sensual.

I have a few different Bvlgari fragrances and not a single one is a powerhouse but I think that’s just how these perfumes are, beautiful watercolor fragrances. Elegant and primarily for your pleasure.

Edited to add: Eight months later after finishing my 50 ml, I bought a larger 100ml bottle. Yeah, the bottle is huge like I thought it would be but I don’t care because I have fallen madly in love with this fragrance.

Rosa Rose smells rosy - what else? Still quite nice...

Bvlgari's first fragrance already put the rose in the spotlight - that was 22 years ago. Then came the flanker "Rose Essentielle," a rose jam-like, liqueur-like, sweet scent that certainly had its charm.

2016 is obviously the year of the ROSE, hardly a new release, hardly a flanker that doesn't bring the rose theme. YAWN.
"Rose Goldea" is what I would call "pretty": really lovely and by no means a showstopper or polarizer. One might find such a fragrance banal and clichéd, but you could also like it because there’s nothing disturbing about it.
Personally, I still prefer the first Bvlgari (is it called Classique now?). However, I really like the bottle of "Rose Goldea," and the scent is very nice, so wonderfully rosy.
But the longevity of the new one is unfortunately poor for me. After 2 hours, I can hardly smell anything anymore. What a shame. After all, the price is not in the "I'll-just-grab-this" segment.
Update August 2019: If you wait, you can often snag a bargain after almost three years. In the meantime, there are more rose fragrances from the series, the flankers of the flanker... Therefore, this one is currently very cheap online. I have now integrated it into my collection and will wear it when I don't want to stand out too much.

Heart of Gold

Today I picked up the chic miniature of the new No 5 L`eau at my perfumery - and of course, I couldn't help but look around a bit - since I was already there.
The marketing concept works perfectly for me.
But I'm not upset about it, because I discovered Rose Goldea.

Goldea already has a "Heart of Gold" - and the Rose is no less impressive.

In the intro, I am greeted by comforting sweetness - a real balm for the soul on reflective days like these.
The full, soft rose fits perfectly - reminding me of the filled Leonardo da Vinci.
My mom's favorite rose.
The sweet rose is the theme here - skillfully accompanied by bright jasmine.
Sandalwood makes the floral aspect of the fragrance creamy, and light incense adds a certain depth - and profundity.

A soft, gentle scent - that brings the melody of Neil Young's "Heart of Gold" to my ears.

I click on the song on YouTube - and think of people who have their hearts in the right place.
