The chronic

The Chronic was a love at first sniff for me. I find this scent to be very unique and something I never smelled before while being mass appealing at the same time. It is called The Chronic but as you now when people think about the chronic they thing about weed. Maybe the addicting aspect of it, that once you smell it you can’t get enough of it.. Byron is a brand that really isn’t scared to take risks. This scent is absolutely beautiful. It is hard to describe but the notes that stand out the most are Amber, cinnamon, sandalwood and black pepper. The blend between all those notes result in something that is sensual and pleasing and will definitely make you stand out. More suited for fall or winter.Very unisex and the performance is a 10 of 10. What do I need to say more? Perfect fragrance in every aspect, go get it!

Fanta Grape

The scent lured me in. The fragrance pyramid sounds heavenly, even glorious.

I love cinnamon and have been looking for a long time for a fragrance that truly smells like the spice I cherish so much. The small sample was quickly unpacked and sprayed on my skin.
Sweet. The first impression is sweet. Gum-like sweet. No cinnamon. Big Red smells different.
It takes a little while.
But it stays sweet. And I recognize the note from somewhere.
Then it hits me.
I am 12 again. A friend of mine is half American. Her father is stationed at a military base nearby. For her birthday and when I visit, there are always the strangest candies and drinks. At my home, there’s Milka. At hers, all sorts of colorful things. The most exciting is the soda in the small, purple bottle. Sweet and with a very unique aroma.
Artificial, very very artificial.
Extraordinary, yes, but indeed very artificial.
I lost track of that friend, but the taste and smell of those birthdays still linger on my lips, in my nose.
A few years later... I try Fanta Grape. Also in purple.
The aroma is similar. Sweet, somewhat artificial and very very distinctive, hard to describe.
A few more years pass.
The Chronic.
This scent is exactly like the taste from back then. Exactly the same impression, the same feeling of synthetics.
I think I can also sniff a bit of pepper. It doesn’t change throughout the duration of the wear. It becomes a bit softer. I believe, without the association, it is actually really wonderful and extraordinary. But I can’t smell anything else.
Except for the scent of past birthdays.

This rather linear, thick and creamy/sweet oriental spicy-resinous Winter fragrance, slowly settles to a more gentle musky-woody base.

The composition is very gourmand'ish, sweet caramelish like amber with kind of minty, zesty vibe on top, beautiful cinnamon and bubblegummy.

According to the notes, I should have liked The Chronic.
Unfortunately, it's very sweet and very synthetic. What a shame, as it gets good ratings.
