Your Bag Smells Like a Swimming Pool

On my last return trip from the sea towards home, I caught this line on the car radio, and it stuck with me. Now, thanks to a lovely exchange (thank you again to the singing forest dweller :-) I had the opportunity to test some very interesting and more or less artificial scents - which simultaneously provided me with an unexpected journey into the past and memories. The laundry press in the basement has already been processed in the statement, and "Tidal Pool" could also be completely described in a statement, but this beautiful song text came to mind, which I do not want to withhold from you. In short, "Tidal Pool" is a single scent accord, and it smells like a swimming pool.
For me, more precisely like wet swimwear or skin when you come home slightly shivering and with goosebumps after a long day in the water.
Tidal pools are tidal basins, natural pools found along rocky coasts that fill with water depending on the tide. There is, for example, a very beautiful one near Saint Malo, and there are many such pools on El Hierro where you can swim and snorkel wonderfully even in rough surf.
Appropriately, this water scent has a fine salty aroma, somewhat similar to, for example, "Salina" by Laboratorio Olfattivo, although I sometimes also smell chlorinated swimming pool water at the pool, so classic pool, mixed again and again with wet Lycra, or whatever bikinis are made of. This does not detract from the summery, carefree impression.
I couldn’t find out much, but many inquiries for individual scent accords were made at CB, and since the production of these is quite expensive, the 10 most requested accords were now implemented as a series. "Tidal Pool" was one of them. The scents produced by CB are hard to describe as perfume or fragrance in the classical sense (and they shouldn’t be), but just like the wonderful "Greenbriar," "Tidal Pool" brings a smile to my face whenever I sniff it. It’s one of those scents that instantly brings back entire childhood or vacation days in memory, including the associated feelings, the happiness, the stars, the ice pops, the never-being-old, and the damp, cold things. Such things are actually priceless.
