The Cheerful Vineyard
As can be easily seen here, yet another, well, "polarizing" fragrance from the house of Brosius. Yet it is so beautiful:
If one follows the rumor, it is a very personal scent of Mr. Brosius, as he attempts to evoke the very special and richly idealized fragrance of an old vine in the garden of the house where he grew up. "I so loved to sit under it on a summer day quietly reading a favorite book curling my toes in the cool moss..."
This is achieved through aromas and notes that remind one of everything associated with a vine, its surroundings, and its entire "concept," from all sorts of grape notes, mainly from the ripe to overripe stage, wood and earth and bark and steaming humus tones, but also the further processing steps, from wine fermentation to the damp, musty, aromatic cellar - equally a depiction of nature and a description of the process of how wine is harvested, pressed, and aged - absolutely artistic in conception, and absolutely masterful in execution.
Here too, of course, the question arises whether there is anyone who can imagine wearing something like this as a perfume... Nevertheless, I love to reach for it, lost in thoughts and images, allowing feelings and memories and beautiful rich moments to rise up. One should not miss the opportunity to hold a glass of whatever pleasant and uplifting drink in hand while doing so ;-)
