Beautiful and inviting

A fast fashion esoteric shop

It's okay. At the beginning angelica root is the most pronounced note, and the overall scent is herbal with a bit of gentle spice to it. I like the heady sweetness of the flowers below – on my body it's tuberose and ylang-ylang more than jasmine.

It's woody, gooey and sweet, but in a relatively subdued way by modern femme perfume standards. Not great, but it has some charming qualities. Herbal sweetness, gooey resins, heavy white florals, tangy blackcurrant peeking through – it's like a multicultural witch hut!

I wish that first impression would last longer. It doesn't. After the first ~15 minutes I notice that the things I liked about it are starting to fade away. The scent quickly becomes... simpler. Flatter. Predominantly ambery, and somewhat synthetic. An esoteric shop with cheap incense sticks currently burning inside of it.

It's airy. Projects about an arm's length away, but just barely. Settles on skin after the first ~2 hours and at that point becomes completely one-dimensional. No angelica, barely any flowers – just the cheap ambery-esotheric flavor with a faint hint of smoke.

In another ~4 hours it fades away. It's... okay. I don't hate it, but if I didn't write things down – come next morning I would barely remember any of it. That's not a kind thing to say, but I feel like nothing of value would be lost if it never existed. Meh.

Smells almost like Joop Nuit d'été

I searched for a long time and have now found it... an almost identical twin of the hot and dearly loved Joop Nuit d'été. I can hardly believe it myself, especially the Ylang Ylang and the Jasmine, or rather the Herodes perfume, is very similar, and the longevity is very long. Perfect for long nights.
