just cooling
I'm reviewing the old version. It seems that, before it was discontinued, it was reformulated and sold in a cheap-looking plastic bottle. Mine is the sleek glass bottle shown here. None of the Aromas (Tonic, Fit, etc.) are on the Lancome website any more.

Apricots, ginger, and tea are three of my favorite notes, so I had to get my hands on this one. I'm glad I paid eBay prices, though, rather than whatever Lancome would have charged. There's a little breeze of apricot-ginger at the beginning of this but, after 10 minutes or so, I am not sure I could tell it from Roger et Gallet The' Vert if I were blindfolded. I love the R + G, and wear it a lot in hot weather. But its crisp, cool lemon, with its edges smoothed by green tea, isn't what I was seeking when I bought this one. Both are on the light side. While I spray many scents only once or twice, both Aroma Tonic and The Vert are six-spray ones for me.

In my opinion on "Aroma Tonic," a very popular and often lamented Lancome gem from the fading 90s, I stand almost alone in a wide field. I don't particularly like it. And this once again shows: scent impressions are deeply personal and connected to one's own memories...

I was never a great tea drinker. And while I have grown to love coffee late, but significantly, over the years, I could hardly find anything appealing in most warm water infusions. Least of all green tea - probably also because it is one of my first memories of this "beverage genre" that my mom forced upon me. Back then, I almost gagged, and even today green tea tastes to me worse than some medicine. And with "Aroma Tonic," I feel pretty much the same. Green tea with ginger, natural yet unpleasant. Hard to describe and, as I said, highly subjective - but that's what every comment here is about, to express one's opinion, which then together eventually forms a somewhat objective overall picture. And there must also be warning and rather negative voices for "Aroma Tonic," just like with any other fragrance. For me, the Bvlgari tea scents clearly have the upper hand, and I do not miss this toxic little green one. A self-deprecating pond troll. But as I said: I have plenty of space for myself in this barren corridor...

Bottle: Lancome-clear
Sillage: watery-summery
Longevity: 4 hours leave hardly any wounds

Conclusion: for many THE "green tea" in olfactory terms at all. For me, a slightly fruity-stinging pond scent with semi-traumatic memories.

With the best on the topic of "Green Tea"...
The title is of course purely subjective - like ultimately every comment here!
I fell in love with this fragrance because of a sample sachet from a magazine, it must have been in 1999. I absolutely had to get the bottle! At that time, I didn't know any perfumes with green tea as a scent note. But everything I later got to know, e.g. the green tea fragrances from Yves Rocher or E. Arden, cannot hold a candle to AT! They dissipate far too quickly! Maybe it's the other components that make AT simply last longer. My old bottle (still 2/3 full - it has many "competitors") has held up well after all these years. I never regretted the purchase back then!
Sure, it's also great for hot summer days, but I prefer to wear it when summer is gradually saying goodbye but still gives it one last "push," so at the beginning of September.

Zzzzischhhhh!!!
Today, the temperature is expected to reach 32 degrees.
I am currently spending a few relaxing vacation days at home. In this heat, preferences emerge that are not so prominent throughout the year.

I always drink a lot of green tea, often with seasonal flavorings. The scent of green tea in perfumes usually fits better in spring/summer. It is meant to provide olfactory cooling and refreshment, often in combination with other well-known refreshers, such as citrus fruits.

2-3 years ago, I purchased this fragrance, which is now in a differently shaped bottle. It was a repeat purchase; I had already emptied a bottle of it during a hot summer at the beginning of the millennium.

Currently, tea scents have come back into fashion. Various manufacturers are approaching this theme in different ways.

A few weeks ago, a colleague wore a fragrant scent that I initially perceived as fresh, green, and well-groomed.
When I asked her about it, she told me that it was this Aromatonic here. Sometimes the good things are close by, or forgotten, or both.

From the sprayer, a whole burst of Aromatonic comes out, similar to Biotherm. Extremely fitting for this fragrance genre in summer.

The green tea immediately jumps into my nose, supported by a slight spiciness from ginger, which, along with cardamom, provides a pleasant warmth.
I do not perceive any fruitiness, rather a subtle floral note that gradually creeps in and definitely contributes to a "well-groomed" impression along with a hint of musk for fixation.

It lasts about 4 hours and is still quite noticeable on me. I am already looking forward to reapplying in this heat!

Home sweet Home
Even though this scent is not in front of my nose, it remains in my memory and I hope forever... With this fragrance, I indulge in wonderful memories. Summer 1999... Bonita Springs, Florida finally diving back into the Gulf of Mexico, this endless expanse and the smell of a strong summer thunderstorm...
My mom had bought this particular scent beforehand. This fragrance just suited her perfectly, and in this tropical heat, it was like a refreshment but not too fresh, rather still lovely.
It was a feeling of "finally arriving," a sense of peace.

How I wish I had a bottle full of magical memories...
But I hope... maybe it will come back someday: :)

Fresh-citrusy green tea scent with a hint of spice.
A bit bitter (but not too bitter).
Light and really lovely in summer.

The summer scent for eternity.
I've never worn it without being asked about it.
It's no longer in production.
Lancome is stupid!

Delicate, zesty, and refreshing tea scent. Very similar to "Valentino Donna Rosa Verde." It's a shame it was discontinued!

The most citrusy citrus I've ever known. Hello -wake-up effect - I loved it so much. I've never found anything comparable again.

Fresh green iced tea, with enough spice to avoid being flat & boring. Truly one of the best in this category. The name fits perfectly.

Sour apple fresh. No tea.
Is there a 'tea scent' that really smells like tea??
