A Day in the life...
.... this is a Beatles title from the later 60s. Melody and lyrics terrific, with peculiar-thoughtful charisma with a good dose of English humor.
... A day in the live... Un Jour... a day like a fragrance.
No "loud thing"... no giant with hit potential, but subtly subliminal catchy.
Flowers and fruits are one thing, citrus and leafy green lie on top, peach, apricot... underneath, still on top, but under "all the way up". Almost banal, but it makes you sit up and take notice.
There is still something behind or below. Right. Your own impression decides what is really worthy of attention.
The wide range of spring bloomers, from intensely sweet, such as the jasmine, to tart green, own the lily of the valley, to bewitchingly powdery, such as lilac and hyacinth.
That is superficially pleasantly surprised to note.
But there should still be something behind, beside or underneath. Deeper facts vieleicht? Undergrounds eluding the bright light possibly..
May be.... no, RIGHT. But not as obvious as expected.
Woods and balsam may play a role.... partly deep and round like sandalwood, partly rougher, lighter and more "pointed", like cedar. Green and earthy, grasses and moss....
at times well perceptible. But there is still what behind, next to, above, below?
"But now is enough"... i try to keep myself from too deep "digging".
But is not completely possible for me.
I catch something that I have overlooked(smelled) so far, or it so wanted...
Something very "animal", which has from the beginning of life justification.
Something that is in all of us, deeply hidden and often denied.
The spirit of the time, of many times....
And also that of a day in our lives, in which many things happen, simultaneously, often unnoticed by us...
