I treated myself to another "old" treasure, it arrived yesterday and I had to test it immediately. - But wait, first pour some from the bulk bottle into a 5 ml spray bottle, leave to stand, wait until everything has settled a little and only then: SPRAY ON!
I find that spraying allows the fragrance to spread much better and you can perceive the fragrances much more subtly. - Well, that's how I feel anyway.
I used to remember it as being much more intense, but it's been so long, my memory could be deceiving me or not?
In any case, the start is fruity, it's probably something "orangey", aha I read mandarin, but I can detect something more peachy myself, which I like, but it could just be my imagination, right ;-)
Well, it doesn't last long, because I immediately get a tart, mossy scent afterwards, an incomparably pleasant, beautiful "mooston", which I suspect is real oakmoss, but who knows.
The longer I sniffed, the more subtle the floral notes wafted into my nose, although at first I thought they must have already faded, because I didn't smell much. No tuberose, no violets, not even jasmine, which is always a bit overpowering.
In any case, I can't make out what exactly I'm smelling, but regardless, it smells pleasant and friendly. Not cool, not particularly tart either, a little woody, but only faintly.
Also a little soapy, in my opinion, but that doesn't bother me, I like it.
Unfortunately, I had to spray it on 3 times, 5 minutes apart, to get it to smell reasonably chypry. I think this is probably due to my very old skin and perhaps also the age of the perfume?
Or maybe it's my nose?
They say you lose your sense of smell as you get older, and now it's happened to me.
So I have to be careful that I don't get on people's nerves with my spraying. But my boyfriend, who gets most of it, is already used to it. Anyway, he said: "mmh, smells good". (end of comment).
I really like the scent, even if it does seem a little old-fashioned, but I'll definitely be using it a lot in the spring.
