I just love you ..
La Fille de l'air is a very fine, fresh, very bright and radiant, somewhat soapy floral fragrance that works best in shimmering heat, as it is even more refreshing, almost floating.

I can understand the associations with 4711 due to the Néroli note, but this composition here is much more elegant, floral, fluffy and multi-layered than the well-known cologne, and it has nothing old-fashioned or pungent about it. The fragrance is simply perfectly balanced!

Why I love it so much?

Of course, this has personal components again: A few years ago, my husband and I fulfilled a dream and drove all the way to Spain with our van and our children, who were still relatively young at the time. We stayed at many campsites, but the most beautiful place for all of us was in Carcassonne. We had a wonderful time there together. I had wanted to visit the castle for a long time because I loved "The Lost Labyrinth" by Kate Mosse so much. Yes - and there, in those little souvenir shops, they also sold fragrances from Grasse, of course. My favorite scent was called "Chèvrefeuille", for me the epitome of a hot summer day in the south of France. I wore it all the time and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I only bought a small bottle of it, which was soon empty at home. Then last year we were in Bordeaux, and again in the shimmering heat, I discovered "La Fille de l'Air", which immediately transported me back to Carcassonne.

I bought 100 ml this time and find the pale pink bottle beautiful and unusual, like a sculpture or an unusual work of art in the hand. The fragrance has a great sillage and lasts for several hours on me. I think you either love such Néroli fragrances (also similar: Néroli-Orchidée by L'Occitane), or you hate them. For some they smell like bathroom cleaner, for others fine and elegant. For me, they arouse longing. But only if they are as well made as the Daughter or the Girl of the Air!

Fabric softener intensive
"The girl of the air", so to speak. I don't find Courrèges' pale pink fragrance to be airy. Instead, it is an absolutely creamy floral, but as exaggeratedly intense as if you were to hold your nose to the opening of an old fabric softener bottle and take a deep puff.
Only the subtle freshness, realized by neroli, protects against total omahaftigkeit. The citric bergamot is almost impossible for me to detect, as is the cedarwood. Neoprene, on the other hand, is one of those crazy notes that I'm sure most customers don't know what it's supposed to smell like. My parents used to be divers and wore neoprene suits. I can't remember an absolutely characteristic smell.

All in all, a weak fragrance that smells far too old (although not old-fashioned), which simply wasn't really needed.

La Fille de L'Air | Courrèges" is actually only wearable in everyday life, otherwise I could also imagine it as a solid fragrance for relaxing.
But it doesn't suit my taste at all and I would be put off by any woman wearing it.

The radiance is so-so: solid sillage for 2 hours, then it decreases sharply until it disappears after 5 hours.
Not enough for an EdP and not worth the price.

Wonderfully tart "air girl"!
I didn't expect "Courrèges" to bring out such great fragrances again! I'm thinking of "Empreinte" & Co. which really got me. Unfortunately empty and some no longer produced. But there is a lot going on in the newer range of his fragrances. A prime example of solid perfume art is this one.... "The girl of the air". Inspired by Serge Lutens' "Filles", but of a completely different olfactory nature - of equal quality. This feminine "airy" fragrance should also appeal to some "noses" of the opposite sex. As there is hardly anything sweet here. Except for the natural-looking fruit sugar of oranges, limes and bergamots. And a little orange blossom pollen. A good dose of cedarwood and a hint of musk provide the necessary depth and longevity! Quite above average for Hesperides fragrances.
I can also smell "coolness" here, in the sense of refreshment on hot and humid summer days. A little breeze from the north. A pleasant breeze!
But it is also not without a certain "solar warmth", which provides the "anti-frost effect" on cool spring and fall days. A bright and friendly fragrance, the tartness in it is reminiscent of citrus and neroli essential oils. Which were certainly also used. Everything "fits" without really being "adapted"! Wonderful-- / and feminine and airy :-))
