Zen Garden
I have the honor of writing the first comment on this beautiful fragrance. I actually find it very difficult to do it justice with words. Nevertheless, let's give it a try.
Right after spraying, there is a fresh cloud of ginger that quickly dissipates. The first time, I added a few more sprays, but it's better to wait patiently. Gradually, a slightly bitter, green scent emerges, which soon rises by an octave and reminds me a bit of menthol, providing a cooling effect. It could also be mint. Then the fragrance becomes very versatile; I perceive it slightly differently each time. Sometimes stronger, sometimes greener, sometimes a bit sunny, sometimes shadier, and with the open veranda doors, I almost feel like I'm sitting in the garden. It's actually like walking around in a garden, sometimes passing by sun-warmed stones blooming in yellow or purple, sometimes by a pond with reeds, and then surprisingly lavender by the small bridge. I don't smell specific flowers; it's more like the essence of blooming things resonates in the scent.
The olfactory complement to an impressionist painting with sun and shadow. A good book on the lounge chair in the garden, accompanied by the cat, is also fitting. I can't quite separate what is the real scent in the air and what is contributed by the perfume; it blends so perfectly.
The longevity is several hours long for me, so pronounced that it captures my attention. Towards the end, it also tends to become soapy, sometimes very much so and sometimes not at all, like a fine spiced soap with clove. Reapplying is not always recommended; sometimes it turns bitter. I can't quite imagine it on a man, as it does draw rather soft lines.
Conclusion: Very nice, but not suitable for all situations.
