Eyes sparkling in the Shadows
Oudh Star by MGO starts with a nice Booze note, which is immediately underlaid by a soft, but nevertheless certain animalic Oud. The eagle wood is easy to carry and yet the predator is always able to peep through the slightly sweetish, flattering veil. The floral chords offer more space for camouflage and sound very sweet and almost clean. Offer the perfect contrast to the throbbing heart of the wilderness.
I feel reminded of moments of Oud al Sadet, who for me was the way into special Oud compositions. Over all this I would have assigned the smell in the blind test to the house Kemi.
The floral-vanilla Tolu gives the fragrance a wonderful coating and a main theme. It also makes the Oudh incredibly wearable and always brings a smile to my face.
