Another Dana Delight
Symbole is a pastel orange blossom and an aurora of aldehydes and greens. It swirls and softens, grows tart, then powdery, with that fatty floral feel that sings the chorus of "I'm affordable, but I am chic!" Gardenia, jasmine, ylang, and rose, never translucent, never separate assemblages, all whirring in unison. Spice-drop dusted muskiness and dressing table milk bath fluffy, cold cream smooth and stuffed closet thick.
Smoky woods and quinolines signal that it's actually a leather chypre that I am wearing, and of course I am a sucker for that kind of good stuff. I find humor that a middle-class housewife in an age of Formica and linoleum may have used this as her "going out to Red Coach Grill" scent and now a 46 year old fella in 2025 is wearing it as a relaxing staying-in-and-wearing-pajamas scent.
It is another Dana delight.
