Pickles where?

Not getting pickles at all. I was worried considering the reviews and I did a blind buy. I’m pleasantly surprised considering I’m not a major rose or saffron fan. It’s quite comforting. Feminine from the start and drys down more masculine like a smoky iris to me. Great on skin and clothing. Lasted all day.

Green and wonderfully bitter

This smells like a flower garden during a humid summer night after all the flowers stopped blooming. It has earthy bitter and slightly dill leaning notes that will not work for everyone but I find it extremely interesting on my skin. It's not too strong on projection but I can still smell it on my skin EOD which is nice.

Preppy girl beginning, but spicy / earthy men's cologne ending

Away from the your-skin-but-better train, we've got the cool, preppy girl that can be found in this fragrance. A strong start with a very present bitter juniper berry. Paired with a subtle and delicate saffron, juniper takes the center stage although honey pomelo offers a second of fruity sweetness. Candied roses start to mingle in with the fragrance as the leather also starts to pop up. Candied rose is beautiful, but hidden under the juniper note and cornered by the leather: it doesn't have enough time to shine. Leather is fine here. Not the interior-of-a-sport's-car kind of vibe, but close (too close for me). It offers a certain smoothness and sensuality, although I find the juniper note is still there, disrupting everything with its strong, bitter, green aromatic note. Drydown is spicy and woody and I couldn't spy any raspberries anywhere. At the end of the day, I had a very strong spicy and earthy note that remained on my skin, something that was definitely in the masculine terrotiry for me. As if the juniper, vetiver and blonde woods had combined to become that spicy men's cologne.

Probably my least favorite from Dedcool up until now due to the overwhelming juniper note and the strong spicy / earthy drydown. Maybe it's a skin chemistry problem as people seem to enjoy this one, but for me it's a hard pass. On to the next!
