Musk that dies with a whimper

Xtra Milk smells like a single musk molecule mixed with alcohol. Doesn't seem macerated well, there is a strong blast of an alcohol smell on first blast, and then after a minute it turns musky; no bergamot detected. Synthetic musks are usually some of the longest lasting materials but here they have somehow made it disappear after 10 minutes on skin. And apparently this is a *stronger* version of Milk?? This is one of the weakest fragrances I've ever tried.

Edit: it lasts on skin for a few hours but does not project at all. Updating longevity rating accordingly

If you can smell it - it's gorgeous

The first time I sprayed milk on my wrist I was left with a stupefied..."I can't smell anything here." I was disappointed, given my bad habit of blind buying fragrances when I'm bored, but figured I'd donate it or sell it to someone.

A couple of hours later I came back into the room where I first sprayed it and was hit with the most gorgeous of scents.

It's sweet, lactonic, with a hint of citrus that brightens the whole thing. There are days where I still find myself nose blind, but most of the the time this is the perfect layering scent.

My favoite layering combinations: Ani, Lune Féline, Debaser, Sol de Janeiro 62

Less than Xtra.

Second review of the Dedcool sample set, Xtra Milk.

First spray on paper: non existent really but a very gently ozonic note.

First spray on skin I pick up the ozonic notes with a slightly cool, iris note. There is a hint of a clean, soapy musk in the background. Feels more one dimensional than Milk.

Despite this being the Xtra of the Milks, to my nose it’s harder to detect. There is more of a fresh laundry scent to this than the original Milk. It reminds me of Eccentric Molecules Molecule 01. It’s also similar in that your nose will pick up the scent randomly and you’ll be trying to sniff it out before it sneaks away again.

I think there are so many more interesting skin/not a perfume fragrances out there. Again, would not spray on clothes as it leaves an oily residue on skin.

A pretty amber

This is a very pretty scent. It’s not life changing mostly because it smells exactly like Nemat Amber. After it starts to dry down it’s a little more delicate, less warm, less thick, more aldehydes than Nemat. A bit fresher.
I think it’s nice and simple. It sits close to the skin which I like and It won’t stick to everything like Nemat does which might be a bonus because I go nose blind to it quickly.

Thought I got Covid because I couldn’t smell it

Oh man I was so excited to get this from Scentbird, but it is so, so subtle. I barely can smell it. When first sprayed, all I get is the astringency of the alcohol. I have to push my nose right up to my skin to catch any scent. The primary note I get is bergamot, which I enjoy, but it’s barely there. Definitely a “your skin but *slightly* better scent,” but I barely catch a whiff. I’ll use the rest of my sample to layer with other perfumes.
