Clementine with a Side of Metal

Very bitter and synthetic when first sprayed. After two hours it lightens up and becomes a bit sweeter. Amber and gardenia start to shine through after three to four hours. I feel like this fragrance packs a stong punch with the really offensive citrus and does not have the lasting power to support the more pleasant notes which is so unfortunate. I wish this perfume was a true clementine becasue this is reminding me more of a blood orange or grapefruit, but not smelling it, more like eating it with a metal spoon. Wish the amber, wood, gardenia, and berries had more time to shine they really started to fade away while the clementine was fighting to stay.

Sour grapefruit turns into a fishy scent (?!)

I'm still trying to understand what is going on here with this scent. The beginning was fine, although the sour and sweet grapefruit was a bit stronger than what I like / am used to. I did smell a fleeting, transparent and fresh gardenia note hiding in the background. As it moves on, that's when it started getting weird. I got this added bitter note of acidic citrus from the grapefruit (on top of the already present sourness), paired with some warmth and a pungent fishy note (!?). The fishy note is exactly the same as trying to smell a fresh fish at a market stall and it is quite off- putting paired with the grapefruit. Is it the woody note paired with the amber? The grapefruit note that turned out wrong? I couldn't get it out of my head for the rest of the time the fragrance lived on my skin which tainted my whole experience. Drydown is woody and warm, although the bitter and sour note remains up until the end.

I think (and I'm hoping) it's a skin chemistry problem. I don't think the fragrance has a real fishy note. I do have to say that since Dedcool has been pretty lackluster to my nose, I won't be trying this one out again at a later date to see if the fishy note is still there. I do hope you get something better out of this one than I did!
