A Well‑Made Scent With a Lovely Dry Down, Just Not My Style
First Impression: Right out of the atomizer, it smells kind of old? It is a familiar scent that I can't quite place. Bright, but I don't really smell the peppery scent. It feels a little nostalgic in a way that reminds me of an old house. Not unpleasant, but not something I personally want to wear. I can barely pick up the fig in the opening.
Dry Down (1 hour): This is where the scent starts to shine for me. The dated/old quality disappears, and it becomes a soft, woody profile. Not cedar or pine, a softer, smoother wood with a touch of spice. I genuinely enjoyed this phase much more than the initial spray.
Long Wear (3+ hours): As it settles, it becomes a soft, slightly sweet, powdery woods scent. There’s a dusty, cozy quality to it that’s easy to appreciate. For me, the dry down is the best part: warm, subtle, and a gentle wood vibe.
