Old School, recaptured...
This is one of those fragrances that recaptures the past. I have reviewed a few other Divine fragrances, from my lovely sample pack. I had stored it away, and decided to revisit these lovely scents.

This seems, to my nose anyway) to be an old fashioned floral, without the aldehydes). It opens with the Jasmine, which remains throughout the whole wearing, mixes nicely with the other notes, but keeps the jasmine and ylang ylang vibe going strong. The black currant leaf is not too detectable, it just seems to give the bouquet a nice touch. No chance of this feeling like some fruity, sweet concoction! I would go as far to say that this is a perfumey perfume. But, not a brash, or blaring fragrance. It could be the peony that gives it an old fashioned feel. I have worn this for two days now, to get the atmosphere of this fragrance. I think it's a very feminine fragrance, not heavy, or overbearing, but a gentle, old school bouquet of flowers.

Comforting wonder
This is my first full bottle of Divine and the choice of L'Infante was based on reviwers' opinions and a tiny sample.
Usually I would try the new perfumes immediately. Not this time, because my bottle was extremely cold , due to the deep freeze that hit the Midwest. That was my scare . I thought the scent may be compromized by the cold. Today I tried it and the wonderful fragrance brought tears to my eyes. An innocent fragrance, who amazes you with its warmth. A pure creamy colour with blue tinges.
No analysis needed. It would ruin the impression about the scent. Vanilla cream, jasmine white, and airy strings of lila/bluish peony.

After about six hours, the scent sends out light green flashes and I cannot tell from where I sense something similar to the chamomile tea . Calming indeed.

Deliberate Restraint, Elegantly Packaged
There are people who you only notice at second glance, only to be surprised at how interesting and enriching they truly are. I feel the same way about this fragrance. While it initially seems almost ordinary, floral-fresh, upon closer sniffing, one detects a cool, green note that lends seriousness and energy to the scent. This accord also prevents the flowers from becoming too heavy or even sticky sweet on their musky bed. A warming creaminess is provided by tonka and vanilla, ensuring that a harsh impression can never arise. The amber note in the base adds a very subtle elegance, and I would almost say brilliance. Throughout, L`Infante remains close to the skin. I would wear this scent for myself, not for those around me.

So here we have no girlishly sweet perfume, certainly no frivolous one; rather, the scent is quite mature and expressive. The Divine fragrances never really hit you over the head. There’s no advertising noise that annoys us with this brand, and a must-have that drags trends along is also not Divine. Thus, L`Infante fits into the group of fragrances that likely won’t stand out to anyone. No one will surely approach you on the street to comment on the wonderful sillage you’re leaving behind. But Divine fragrances, including L`Infante, are for me something like a hidden gem for those who wear beautiful lingerie even when they know no one else will see it, who feel comfortable in a crowd even when they are not in the spotlight, and who can enjoy beautiful things even when they are not exactly “in.”

The Little Pea...
In my youth, there was a fragrance that smelled almost exactly like L'infante by Divine. Unfortunately, I can no longer remember the name of that little perfume, but I still have the scent in my nose today.

It was worn by a really lovely colleague at work back then, who was always called "Klaa Erbs," or little pea, by a male member of the team - the two later became a happy couple. I don't even remember her real name, just that he always called her Klaa Erbs (she was about 2 heads shorter than him).

As sweet as the little pea was, she always wore this - extremely piercing scent to my nose. It is a mix of green and synthetic notes, with the addition of quite penetrating and exhausting smelling white flowers. For me, L'infante is an absolute headache candidate and therefore not an option.
And although my memories of Klaa Erbs are only positive, the scent will likely haunt me forever now that I've smelled it again.

It is definitely a fragrance for young women; it is fresh and very bright, sweet but not overly so, and a bit green. After a few hours, the scent becomes a bit dull on the skin and no longer so shrill, but not softer.
The sillage is quite good, but the longevity is enormous. Three hand washes and I can still perceive it.

I will prepare a headache tablet just in case....

A beautiful scent with 2 faces..
So, now I will continue to test and describe.
Hmmm, L’Infante by Divine is a perfume that personally has 2 faces for me.
At the beginning, I am overwhelmed by a wonderfully floral note that also carries a freshness within it.
The scent vaguely reminds me of Orchid by Yves Rocher, the smell of alcohol is very noticeable, flowers like peony, which has a rather sweet scent, paired with a huge splash of jasmine blossoms.
These two notes almost feel narcotic to me and are very strongly perceptible.
After about 5-10 minutes, this beautiful floral-fresh note shifts and becomes somewhat oriental, tonka bean and ylang mix vigorously into the scent bouquet.
I no longer like the base note very much, the floral freshness recedes significantly here, tonka is indeed strongly detectable, and I also think I can smell vetiver, which forms a slight grassy-sharp note in this perfume!
L’Infante is, for me, a perfume with 2 different scent components, first wonderfully floral, at the time of the base note, this beautiful floral note decreases rapidly.
The flowers are somewhat "destroyed" here by tonka bean and vetiver, this is how I perceive this scent, it changes very strongly in the end.
I really find it a shame, sorry!
A plus point for this perfume for me is the very good longevity! The sillage is also quite strong!

Ylang-Ylang, jasmine, peony gently wrapped in vanilla musk, not unpleasant but a bit tame. Pure floral.

A fragrant bouquet of flowers framed with delicate green. Timelessly chic and elegant. Certainly not a big sensation, but very well crafted.

Refreshing green with a simultaneously flattering P-Rose, delicate fruity acidity, then softly musky and sweet floral. Reminds me°°

The heiress enjoys her time in the sunny flower garden as long as she can still dance there carefree. Surrounded by fresh greenery. Noble.

Somehow, this scent manages not to completely scare me off despite the heavy clean musk and tonka bean.

Quite an ordinary, but fine creamy clean sweet floral scent (more jasmine than rose). With a subtle grassy green touch and a light cola vibe.

Peony is the star, jasmine and ylang are more subdued, definitely not indolic, green notes refresh the nose: beautiful!

Classic fragrance with feminine, nectar-like flowers. Quite lush, ambered, yet bright and soft. Minimally indolic.

Traditional floral scent with herbal notes and clean musk.
A light hint of orange blossom makes it more interesting.

A bright floral bouquet with a greenish undertone that lacks uniqueness for me. It feels too sweet and a bit too plain.
