Lovely oud

I love Oud notes as long as there is no detectable sandalwood in the mix and this one has none. The smell is a slightly sweet, powdery oud, indeed with a hint of patchouli. In my opinion, this is definitely a unisex perfume, but as a serial "male" perfume buyer, I may be biased. Also, quality-wise much better than anything I have tried by the likes of Al Haramain, which smell synthetic to me.

patchouli oud

This oud smells a lot as patchouli to my nose in the opening and in the drydown a sweet tabacco vanilla like smell.

It's a resinous vanilla. A oriental gourment. Very linear and simple, but good for skin scent. The price is so cheap that there is no risk.

I don't understand why the scent is called Oud. It's a beautiful earthy-dark patchouli fragrance refined with incense and resins.
