not necessarily "fresh" - but incredibly fantastic!
The description reads: "a honey-soaked fig in saltwater-infused coastal air," roughly translated.
And this works - more or less. It is not a fresh fig fruit that you get straight from the tree, but something between green/fresh and fruity-sweet. It is also not a dried fig. It is not the fig tree or a branch.
It is a slightly synthetic overripe fig (at least for me) with a twist of honey and underpinned by all the fig shrubbery that the tree has to offer. In the base, I think I also smell musk.
This sounds very clinical and negative, but quite the opposite:
The perfume is like sweetened iced tea - not for everyone, but alongside the refreshment, I can't get enough of the sweetness :)
For me, it is the ideal summer scent, it is fruity-aromatic, light, yet has astonishing longevity and projection, and despite (or because of?) the slightly synthetic character, the fig here is far from "green" and herbal - thank goodness: this green fig quickly turns sour on me.
Therefore, this purchase was a complete success for me - also because of the nicely and clearly designed website, as well as the very fair shipping costs within Europe! (Why can't Space NK ship like this within the EU?)
The bottle is also very pleasant, the flacon is made of glass and the cap is plastic (which I personally find very advantageous!) & I look forward to trying this scent out for layering with others!
