Opposites attract (?)
Personally, I have never fully loved the combination of vanilla and oud. I love the marvellous orchid, with its ethereal elegance, and I do not disdain the divine resin - often synthetic. Yet, this combination has never completely satisfied me. I have found it in fragrances such as Orom or Ode à l'Oudh, without ever grasping its full harmony.
Here, however, the combination is well constructed, yet, it is not an enveloping sweetness nor a warm, round embrace. For those who love sharp nuances and contrasting personalities, this fragrance will be a fascinating journey. For those who seek only comfort and harmony, it may, on the other hand, seem too harsh.
