Now It's Summer
...no matter if you're sweating or freezing, summer is something that happens in your head. If you want to have a summer mood that is still wearable in winter, combine lavender with citrus!
Admittedly, it's not as spectacular as some of its Lush relatives - Breath of God says hello. But due to the contrast of lavender to citrus, it is certainly not boring. I tested both the sprayable brother and the solid version and ultimately decided on the solid.
The solid stays closer to the body in its sillage and has a less spectacular development. So if you're more adventurous, you should try the spray version. For me, it was meant to be just an everyday scent, and I don't need surprises that knock me off my feet or scare me. In contrast to the spray brother, the lavender here is somewhat more discreetly hidden in the background; unfortunately, the bergamot-like lemon that can be smelled in the jar immediately turned into a bright orange mandarin on my skin. But that's a trade-off I'm willing to accept if it means I won't get hit by a lavender bomb. An overdose of lavender unfortunately gives me a headache rather than being calming and sleep-inducing.
It's not particularly sexy or seductive, rather cheerful and colorful. Therefore, I see it more suited for young and young-at-heart people. And yes, the lavender makes it quite sweet, but I would still categorize it in the unisex range. A worldly man can definitely wear it. I envision it paired with a casual business outfit and a purple shirt, definitely not cowboy attire. And the ladies of the nation - in a striped summer dress on flower meadows.
And what do I do now when it's winter? Still wear it! The sun comes out and the oranges grow in the Provençal garden right next to the lavender fields. And suddenly, you're on a scent vacation.
