refined desert, curated desert
I am on the hunt for desert scents. As a person who lives in one, it's such a unique and relatively unexplored territory in perfumery. Some come close, but it always feels too sanitized or curated to feel authentic.
Don't get me wrong, I ADORE this scent and this house. They flirt closer to the real desert than other houses I've explored. It's a full, resinous, and earthy scent, sweetened by the vanilla and hibiscus. I almost wonder if someone from here could have arranged these materials slightly different and achieved something more organic.
If it had more space and airiness, it would be closer to reality. It feels like a metaphysical shop or tea house someone who moved here would open. They get the charm, but they miss the mark ever so slightly.
Also WHERE IS THE CREOSOTE??? Either way, I will probably always secure a full bottle of this. She's an approximation of home, which might be the best I can ask for.
