It's really not that bad :-)
Well, then I will be the one to give the balancing comment on this not-so-bad fragrance :-)

I must admit, I'm not a big fan of neroli either, but I perceive it more as salty rather than bitter. Aside from that, the fragrance notes that don't last at least until the middle of the heart note could easily be omitted.

As Sabi already mentioned, the neroli here is quite persistent and lasts - I agree - a good 2 hours. After that, I only smell a creamy-sweet note (Tiaré) and a hint of gardenia, but for a long time, as the longevity is quite decent and it's also well perceivable in the surroundings. Unfortunately, there's no trace of freesia and mandarin. They could have softened the neroli a bit.

Even though the fragrance doesn't fit my preferences, because it lacks the dark, gloomy, or edgy qualities in my opinion, and I personally prefer "harder stuff" even in summer, it is still quite solidly made and you definitely won't stand out negatively with it.

Bitter Pill
Oh yes, a bitter pill that I had to swallow today. Once in the literal sense, namely to drive away the headaches triggered by the above fragrance, and the other rather metaphorically, because I would have liked to enjoy the Fendi 2004, which has such wonderful scent notes :-(

It just wasn't meant to be between us. Right from the start after applying the fragrance, my eyebrows raise in irritation, rather crumpled than delighted, you know what I mean...

Once the alcohol has evaporated, a quite strong and very bitter top note spreads on my skin, it must be the listed neroli, sparkling says Fendi in its advertising, sparkling in the sense of aggressively biting I would sign immediately.
Just like with Tom Ford's White Patchouli, Chanel's Beige, and Pure Gold by Montale, this piercing note triggers headaches for me. What a pity.

Next, iris, gardenia, and tiare are supposed to make their appearance, but even an hour later, there is no sign of them, I hope that this (for me unbearable) note will finally fade away, but it does not.
The fragrance simply becomes less intense and slowly dissipates over the next 2 hours.
From the base of sandalwood, vanilla, and amber, I sense no trace.

It is just the way it is, you can't love everyone, which has its good side, otherwise, exploding wish lists would grow beyond measure;-)

Just one request to you. I find it very unfortunate that I, due to my personal perception, could not do justice to this fragrance, which is surely beautiful for others, with my assessment. Since my comment is the only one so far, I would like to ask one of the Fendi 2004 lovers to write a positive review.
Otherwise, my report might prevent someone else from finding their great fragrance love, and that would be a shame.

This new version is a colorless mutant of the original. The radiant top note and leathery-spicy base have been brutally eliminated. Stay naked.
