Exit in F 40
I like to have fun and buy perfumes that are nowhere else on the list. Often available at a low price, and then comes the exciting moment to try these "exotics." Here too, I stumbled upon "Red Power Ice" by chance.
According to the description, it is a citrusy aquatic scent in a rather nice bottle.
The glass radiates a slight Ice Touch - sporty.

But actually, it resembles the slightly fogged windows of the F 40. Excited, you sit behind the wheel, beads of sweat already running down your forehead; the white T-shirt is well dampened. No ice here - this cooling would be nice. The last kilometers of the drive along the coastal road become more pleasant. The wind brings freshness,…..quickly back before the rain sets in.

Well, the scent is just as special. The opening is hard to describe, somehow musty - but only for a very short time. Then comes the pleasant freshness, green and herbaceous, very lightly. It remains appealing up close. Definitely not an elegant Italian. More like someone in a work overall, working in a heated car garage after a big inspection followed by a test drive.

The "scent test drive" was still fun.

Ferrari's Fine Chaos
Well, what can I say? I've had this perfume in my collection for about a month now. I've sprayed it a few times, but somehow I lacked the words to describe it; it's quite difficult to sniff out the notes.

I got it at the chain where I usually buy my movies on BluRay during the 4 for 3 promotion. This time, after Apicius piqued my curiosity with his comment, I went straight there. On the test strip, it smelled different, but good. My predecessor mentions the spearmint note. On the strip, I think I could detect that as well. In any case, I found it somewhat appealing.

On the skin, the little horse behaves a bit differently, but very pleasantly and well.

However... it is also catastrophic what happens there. I really can't make sense of "Red Power." Filtering out notes here is nearly impossible. The only thing I can smell is something floral. The heart notes are beautifully blended together and then refined with a masculine note, which makes this chaos brilliant. A hint of sweetness also mixes in, but very, very subtly. I can't say where it comes from.
But when I look at it more closely... there seems to be a certain freshness in the background... could that be the spearmint accord...? I'll leave it at that.

-----------------

At this point, I’m editing my comment again...

In a closed, tight space, a construction debris scent spreads, smelling of dust, flex, and sweat from the construction worker. I was just in the city, and in the car, I wondered why it smelled like construction, even though nothing was being torn down or built up anywhere.
Upon arriving at the bank, I stood at the counter, and again, the smell of construction was noticeable.

As I said, chaos. :)

"Red Power" then fades into a pleasant musk note after a few hours. The sillage is perfectly fine, and the longevity is good as well.

PS: Just for the record... I would never want to own or drive a Ferrari, for whatever reason? :) As a scent, that's enough for me. :D

An Unusual Progression
Another fragrance related to red cars! The Ferrari brand is slowly running out of ideas - fortunately, only when it comes to naming. I find products silly - whether perfume or clothing - that quote such luxury brands that no one can afford: Ferrari for the poor?

Red Power and the other Ferrari fragrances mostly fall within the price range of 40 to 50 €, and they are primarily available at Müller. I would love to know exactly who the marketing for these perfumes is targeting.

Broadly speaking, Red Power is an aromatic-herbaceous scent, although I think the fragrance notes mentioned here should not be taken too literally. I detect a rather mild form of herbaceousness, in which I distinctly perceive spearmint. The mildness and a slight sweetness give it a hint of chewing gum. Soon, a rather creaky, earthy-woody accord joins in, which is particularly bitter on the skin. I assume the notes of cardamom and cypress are meant to represent it. When I turn on my imagination, I get construction site associations: This accord is related to the scent impressions of wet mortar and dusty construction debris. A construction worker chewing gum while breaking down a wall with a sledgehammer? - Cool!

In many cases, that would have been it, but Red Power has a surprise in store. The supposedly scratchy base note actually turns out to be the heart note and fades after about an hour. The view is once again clear to the green, aromatic-mossy side. This unusual base presents itself pleasantly old-fashioned, somewhere between vetiver, lavender, and musk. The initially somewhat robust impression gives way to a well-executed barber shop style.

Lavender is listed in the fragrance notes, although I can't smell it as such. Yet, as is often the case in these situations, the addition of lavender seems to lift the perfume in a way. While for long stretches the scent impression on the skin is rough and creaky, everything comes together harmoniously from a slight distance. Red Power thus also has quite a bit of sillage to boast, more than average.

For a relatively small amount of money, Ferrari offers us Red Power, an aromatic, somewhat old-fashioned Fougère scent that cannot be denied a certain eroticism. Ferrari isn't so bad after all, if you overlook the name.

Fresh blood orange, with similarities to Dior Homme Sport. Spicy and herbal in the later stages. Lasts 3-4 hours.

Hard to describe. Mostly herbal, green, aromatic. I've never smelled anything like it before. Quite fresh. H/S rather weak.
