Blue Cedar is Everything But Blueth
Ferrari Cedar is unquestionably blue as the Lebanese cedar needles, yet it is not melancholy, has no blueness, and is not blueth at all. Please don't be foolish by the name, cause there is a touch of woodiness within, though it is not a cold seasons cologne. The blue color is also used for the bottle, one of Ferrari's patented color for the Ferrari GT range: the Blu Tour de France, sough-after in models such as the Spider and California.
Let's go back to the cologne. I have been looking for this perfume for a long time; in the shops like Sephora, Douglas, or Pinalli, it was on sale around 90 euros, and online, you could have it even for less than 30 euros, but it was sold out everywhere. Then, while I was browsing through various perfume online stores, I came across this and Amber Essence, the very last ones that were missing from my Ferrari Essence collection. Guess how much I found them? Just under 20 euros each, a real bargain.

The aquatic nuances with the citrus and watermelon make it smell good, Ferrari did a stellar job, something in the best possible way, or shot this out of the park! Ferrari Cedar Essence starts with a slightly sharp soapy and musky smell almost like a lightly mentholated ocean scented air freshener, the marine accord maybe? The soapiness fades after a few minutes, and you are left with this bright and fresh smell of musk. The reason for the aroma is perhaps the mixture of amber, patchouli, and a hint of citrus freshness. Similar to what is well-known as "White Musk". There are some citrus and watermelon in there, too, but it takes a few minutes before that synthetic oceanic air freshener accord thankfully recedes. It gives it a cold fruity aroma that has a crisp spice to it. What is left is at first something fresh, semi-fruity, and generally pleasant overall. Peppermint is outstanding, hugged by a blend of citrus fruits and sparkling ginger root.

A quarter of an hour and the heart notes begin to bright. The aromatic lavender emerges together with the spicy green cardamom, and the marine accord is still lingering in the background, not loud, not overpowering, just perfect. It isn't overly salty like many other oceanic scents, but it's there. The Atlas cedar creates a gloomy atmosphere, it is glorious, and there is no pencil-sharpener vibe as with American red cedar. The evolution is slow and very pleasant. About 2 hours after application, a salty nuance emerges as a result of the oceanic accord.

The dry down comes sweet, amber, and a tad gourmand. Although the roasted coffee beans are not so evident as in Ferragamo Uomo, for instance, the smell is present and stays close to the skin. The base features even the Lebanon cedar, with its sweet, rather citrus-like odor that lingers as if the wood was just cut or machined. Its resin oozes out of these trees from everywhere—from the bark, the twigs, the cones, and the needle-leaves. It has a warm, honeyed, and slightly animals aroma, which goes far beyond paper and pencil shavings.

Hence, what we have here is a fougère, fruity, aqueous, and woody accord. The fragrance may not be the longest-lasting, especially for an EDP, but I believe the scent is beautiful. Sillage and projection are average for the first hour or so, then recedes to a tiny bubble before turning into a skin scent. The projection is quite loud off of my skin during the opening, and the sillage isn't too bad either. I would mainly wear this during the day. It is both juveniles, which works well for school, and also mature, which acts well for work.

After blind-buying a bottle of Cedar Essence based on the prominent notes and some decent reviews, I have to say that I am decidedly not doubtful about this one. Overall, a pleasant fragrance from Ferrari, like the rest of the Essence line. Inoffensive with moderate sillage and projection.
The lack of a sturdy cedar note does not make Cedar Essence a wicked fragrance. It isn't exactly what I had expected, just different from what we think when we think about cedar.

Above average fresh
The notes seem sincere, not synthetic, great marine/fresh/fruity upon application.

They, at times, seem to meld and give an aroma reminiscent of magnolia.
Really like.

Better than its reputation
After a few years in obscurity, I came across the bottle today, and I was curious why I had neglected it. I sprayed a little, waited for the alcohol to evaporate, and lo and behold, it’s not as bad as some reviews here suggest; first fruity, soon after greenish, yes, lovely. Sure, it’s not a "fragrance monster" like the red Ferrari "Essence Oud," but it offers much more than "Light Essence Bright," which only disperses "a hint of nothing." Well, the sillage only reaches a little more than 20 cm, but the blue bottle is a real eye-catcher on the shelf. I'll leave it out for now; maybe it will get even better with the years.

Pole Position in Ferrari Blue
After the red Ferrari, a blue Ferrari had to be ordered for the fleet after a long saving :-). On eBay, a bottle of Cedar Essence was hanging around, claiming it wouldn't disappoint me and that it wanted to position itself well next to its red brother Oud. The auction ended at half the usual price, and today the messenger gods from Hermes delivered the steel-blue Ferrari.

A high-quality blue 100 ml bottle raced out of the packaging, bowed, and the injector twitched. A basket full of tropical fruits fizzed on my wrist. Orange, lime, and ginger opened the show, and about 10 minutes later, it took a turn around the Atlas cedar.

One cedar is not enough, as the Ferrari has much more to offer. Amber and patchouli thundered from the exhaust, and I was enchanted.

A scent for every day, by no means intrusive, but clearly noticeable. The second Ferrari has rightfully earned its stay ticket in my collection. It has been scenting itself for 7 hours now, and there is still no end in sight. Approved!!!

Here, the affordable concept of Ferrari fragrances doesn't hold up: between Ambroxan and Calone, the brand has lost its way.

When the synthetic wood and cardamom punch of the first hour fades, it becomes more bearable and actually better. Still not for me.

Phew, that's not my thing. An interchangeable mix of sour-fresh and woody notes with an unappealing artificial vibe.

If you like scents like Dylan Blue, Light Blue, or Himalaya, this is for you. For me, it’s too shower gel-like and synthetic, but great value for money.

Awful synthetic monster. It burns your nasal passages and throat from the very first breath. It can't get any worse.

As much as I can mostly recommend the rest of the brand, this one is unfortunately a fruit mush with a shower gel fresh scent. Urgh :/

very exhausting, it burns on the mucous membranes, that it's all too late. I strongly advise against it.
