Summer days in the medieval countryside
Bright sparkly citrus, prosecco bubbles. It could be greener. It’s more grounded in village life than it is fantastical - I don’t get enough plant life from this to get a vision of the green knight riding through the woods. It’s so full of juicy orange and bergamot that even I, a noted citrus hater, am loving how pleasant and fresh it is..
I want to say it doesn’t feel medieval because it doesn’t feel old, but that’s not really a fair comment. It probably DOES feel medieval, like sunshine on the village green or an orchard full of fruit. It feels very lived-in, like summer days that are just as long today as they were 600 years ago. I can feel the bees buzzing around the roses.
