Evening Twilight... or the Secret Behind the Hills.
Ah, once again a rarely available fragrance. But here in Germany, there is a store for natural cosmetics (not a perfumery) that carries some of "Frau Toni's" scents. Among others, also "Bogota Berlin". And this one is something very special (like the other "Frau Toni's" as well)
But this one particularly appeals to me. Period and comma!! And exclamation marks!!!!
"Bogota Berlin" is a beautiful vetiver scent, not dark or gloomy, but rather "twilight-like".
Through violet leaves, it becomes woody, has green nuances, and the cedar wood adds a woody, tart note, while the pepper gives it a warm spiciness. I can't quite pick out the fig right now.
"Everything has been done before..." some might think now....
That may be, is my answer, but not in THIS distribution of the fragrance components. They come across here as exceptionally "mysterious" in their entirety, with the vetiver and violet leaf increasingly coming to the forefront.
This creates a mood as if you are walking in a clearing on a cool April evening, in the hour between day and night.
Green hills, dotted with oddly graceful trees, surround you.
You want to walk around the hills, or up to the "mini-forests" to see more, it draws you in magically.
Behind the hills, there are doors, some wide open, some closed.
They are just door frames, and you see the landscape continuing beyond. You want to walk around them, but something holds you back.
As if "guided," you step through them. Each one can be entered and exited again.
Behind each of the doors lies a "different world." Dense forests..... behind one.
An Irish coastal landscape behind the next.
Another one lets you look down on an evening city..... the next houses a brook landscape with alders and willows...........
Each of the doors behind the hills has its story, and you want to linger...
In the mild twilight of a cool April evening, with a desire to linger in this mysterious clearing. With a warm jacket around your shoulders....
