A growing appreciation
The first time I tried this fragrance on my skin, I was not impressed. It smelled a bit cheap, and synthetic. I was, however, in a perfume store at the time. After leaving, a few hours later, I noticed a very appealing scent that followed me. I sniffed the usual spots where I had applied my samples, and found that THIS fragrance was the one I was smelling. I went back to the store and bought a bottle. I got it home, and my first day wearing it, it smelled a bit different without all of the competing scents. I liked it, but I did not love it. I put it kind of in the back of my collection. I used it very rarely because it never jumped out at me as something the would be OUTSTANDING for the occasion. Then, this fall (2022) after 2 years of having the bottle, I tried it again. I had been classifying it as more of a summer scent before, and had only worn it in warm weather. When I put it on in the cool of fall, and went about my day, the fragrance opened up ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. I was drawn to the scent.
The florals smelled less flat, and instead I can smell the complex bouquet of the various floral notes. The apricot and cedar wood offer this spicy sweetness to the backbone of the scent, and the amber melts the florals and this spicy sweetness together with just a hint of oud in the background to add a slightly wild untamedness to the overall character of the scent.
I am falling in LOVE with this scent this fall. It evolves slightly throughout the day as I wear it, but the projection is enough that I can constantly get full (but not overwhelming) wafts of the scent as I move throughout my day.
The scent is reassuring, and beautiful. I feel composed, confident, intriguing, complex, and a bit mysterious as I move around and leave the trail of this fragrance behind me. The more I wear this scent in the cooler weather, with my autumn attire and colors, the more I fall in love.
I TRULY recommend this scent, but do yourself a favor and keep it for fall, early winter, and ealry cooler spring days... these are the times when it TRULY shines.

Leaving an Impression
The feminine impression of the bottle caught my interest when I diverted into the local perfume shop after buying glasses. It's so new in the turquoise collection that the prices weren't even in the system. From the outside, it smelled sweet, almost bouquet-like! But after spraying it, things looked different...

So much suede and cedarwood! The initial impression hit me like a punch in the gut. After the first few minutes, a few other notes joined in, a bit of wisteria and a little lemon. I had previously thought amber and ambra were identical, but this time amber likely refers to amber resin. Allegedly a blend of benzoin, vanilla, styrax, and fir. Sweet, resinous, warm, cozy. The scent is none of that. This doesn't have to mean anything bad; years ago, I had a decant of Pure Leather. Uomo is similarly leathery-smoky. Very good! Very strong! So it's best to use it sparingly. It lasted a little over 7 hours on me.

So:
Cedar and suede marching in step, while the weakening rest lags behind.
Very unique. Statement fragrance? At least noticeable already.

Who invented it..?
Received the bottle as a gift. At first, I was a bit thoughtful! Gisada? What on earth is that?
After I sprayed some on my wrist, it was clear that this is no ordinary perfume. In terms of complexity, it's more of a niche scent than a designer bottle.
Once the fragrance settles after application, the true quality from Ricola-land presents itself!
Starting with absolute fruitiness (strong apricot) moving to charming wood, which ends in an amber and suede finale, it's an absolute all-rounder.
It works very well in the office as well as in the evening during dinner and in intimate moments.
The scent is almost captivating, longevity is 4-5 hours, sillage is good - but could be better.
However, overall, it's not a misstep - it plays all the notes with brilliance.
The price for 100ml at €120 is rather steep....

Unfortunately annoying
The first time I sprayed Gisada Uomo, I was pleasantly surprised. An elegant, almost luxurious vibe with fresh spice and fine woods. Unfortunately, however, the fragrance quickly....
The initially harmonious composition becomes intrusive and unpleasant over time. Instead of depth and development, what remains is a penetrating, almost synthetic note that is simply annoying.

A bad buy for me - a shame, because the first impression was promising.

A leap into the unknown
"Gisada Uomo | Gisada" was my first fragrance from the Gisada brand and to be honest, I didn't expect it to make it onto my shelf at all. The first test on the test strips didn't really convince me, but something motivated me to try it on my skin.

The "Gisada Uomo | Gisada" opens to my nose very spicy and very cognac-heavy, even if this is not included. The lemon, which is supposed to be hidden in the top note, is completely hidden from my nose. As the fragrance progresses, it becomes softer and sweeter but always with a certain spiciness and slightly woody. I notice relatively little oud, which is positive. For me, it's a very well-rounded fragrance that doesn't come across as too simple.
My description probably deviates somewhat from the fragrance pyramid, but I'll try to describe my fragrance experience.

The bottle is high-quality but not a big surprise/special feature. For the price range, however, perfectly fine.

The fragrance lasts well and the sillage is relatively close to the skin, which makes it perfect for the office. But it would also do well in other environments. For me, it's definitely a universal winter fragrance that I wouldn't want to be without.

A solidly made all-rounder for every day, but without corners and distinctive character. Wood synthetics in the background are irritating.

The best Gisada Scent - wearable oriental scent with a dried fruit & chocolate twist. Sophisticated fall scent with good quality

Strong earthy, leathery, woody base mixed with dark amber + a splash of cocoa bitters. Animalic opening but picks up light fruits + florals.

It just smells too suspiciously of Ambroxan and Cashmeran for me to like it. However, there is a certain woody charm.

A nice woody scent with a hint of amber and tobacco that somehow feels familiar to me.

Starts floral, almost feminine, until a pleasantly warm tobacco note emerges beneath the surface. New brand, but not a revelation...
