Memories of childhood, but not my scent
With the first spray of Guerlain's Spiriteuse Double Vanille, I immediately realized - a scent I have experienced many times, especially in Turkey. A familiar scent that my aunts and young women around me often wore. It didn't seem special to me, more like something I've smelled a thousand times on the streets of Turkey. Feminine, yes, but also a bit old-fashioned, a familiar but not particularly exciting scent. I would have liked more vanilla, something sweet, but this vanilla didn't strike me as the wonderful thing I was looking for.
It reminded me of sweet Turkish pastries soaked in black tea, a childhood memory that made me feel good. Unfortunately, I don't quite understand the hype surrounding this fragrance, as I personally would have expected a more intense and beautifully balanced vanilla - especially at this price. Nevertheless, the fragrance managed to take me back to my childhood. Interesting, but definitely not my vanilla fragrance. The search continues...
