The origins of the Giardini di Toscana brand, headquartered in Bibbiena, Tuscany, date back to 1942, when grandparents Giovan Piero and Emma Ducci opened a small perfumery in a medieval village in Casentino.
The grandfather was a trained pharmacist and wrote a formula manual for fragrances and ointments, which has been preserved to this day.
In the 1960s, their daughter Irma took over the business and developed it into a prestigious boutique. This was the environment in which Silvia Martinelli, the current creative director of Giardini di Toscana, grew up.
Today, Silvia Martinelli's approach for Giardini di Toscana is to combine a modern, artistic perfumery with her grandfather's traditional recipes in order to further develop her heritage.
