Fiercely Fresh
Vince is in the same genre as Fierce, Legend, Skull & Roses for Him and by similarity listings, Percival (have never tried Percival). What Vince does better than the first three is it has a very nice fresh approach to this style. Part of it that was most apparent to me is the just-right appearance of the mint note. Just enough to make the scent fresh but not too much to call itself out or make Vince a mint fragrance. Very well balanced. In comparison, Fierce, while nice, has poor performance, being cologne strength after all. Legend has a more woody aspect. Skull & Roses is more synthetic or lower quality. Vince smells of quality and has good performance. I got about 3 to almost 4 hours of good projection of about a 3' scent bubble (not room filling). Even down to a skin scent it was quite noticeable until about 9 hours out, at which it point it had pretty much faded.
I can highly recommend Vince as a very good representation of the Fierce DNA, only fresher and with better performance. The scent itself is masculine and quite versatile.
UPDATE (1/18/2025): I've completed testing all of the Guy Fox fragrances available in their two sample sets. One set is for the "Founder's Reserve" Collection while the other contains all their standard releases. Here's my ranking of all of them, with a few notes:
First group, ranked in order of my preference. These are the top Guy Fox fumes in my book - full bottle worthy, with Nightcap being the best:
1. Nightcap
2. Fairway
3. Vince
4. Nelson
Second group, no rank or order, just grouped together. Nice scents. I like them, but not enough to buy a FB:
Aspen
Primo
Mikul
Jefe
Preston
Third group, no rank or order, just grouped together. OK, somewhat generic. Mediocre performance for some:
Palmer
Tyler
Marra
JP
Fourth group. Just plain awful. Was almost a scrubber for me:
Riviera
