A bit of everything. Femme fatale energy
This one has a bit of everything going on. It’s floral, woody, powdery — and there’s a nice touch of sweetness (quince?).
I do get tulip, incense, galbanum, angelica, and some peppery vibes right away.
For the first hour, it’s kinda hard to smell anything else.
But the patchouli and tonka bean kick in later on while giving it a bit of a bite.
No raspberry on my skin, though.
Feels like a winter version of La Tulipe.
Super strong — definitely a head-turner. Total femme fatale energy

Fruity incense
Like all other Senyoko perfumes, Madama Butterfly II is an artistic piece that is hard to classify. If I were to attempt (and miserably fail) to capture the profile into a short description it would be a fruity-incense-floral-woody. It is a wearable piece, but rather it seems to aim at conveying a unique, artsy experience and requires some attention to be fully appreciated.

The scent combines florals, woods, iris, incense and fruit. Instead of following a linear progression, the scent floats around rudderless on an ocean of notes. At all times I am surrounded by a pleasant, fairly light scent that keeps evolving in an unexpected manner. But somehow I feel a bit lost, like I have lost my sense of direction. Are we moving into the incense heart or are we going all-in on the iris now? I get a woody base, but it never really gets to that point of no return. And we're back at the fruity phase of the beginning...

So in the end I do not really know what to think of it. Madama Butterfly II is a unique experience, yes. I will remember it mostly for its subtle evolution and the striking combination of fruit and incense. Not enough to make me want to go on this trip again.

Butterflies in the Stomach
A summer day in the south.
Fresh wind that makes the grasses dance.
Laughing faces everywhere.
Lemons hanging low.
We eat from the fresh fruit.
Mandarin and raspberry blend in the mouth.
Quince freshly sliced.
The scent impregnates the air.
Bright smoke sways along.
Accompanied by a rich tone of cedar.
It becomes sweeter with the tonka bean.
Dense with warm resin.
Yet the sun always glides through this fragrance.
Butterflies in the stomach.

Everything feels so peaceful.
Friendly. Just pleasantly nice.
In the end, a light detergent note emerges, carrying flowers within.
All together, it forms a very serene disposition.
A scent for warm days. For good moods.
With an average longevity.
It is beautiful, but too sweet for me.
Nevertheless, an interesting fragrance,
that feels very high quality.

Wanderbrief Blindtest No. 2
At first, there is a light scent of fresh green salad leaves, but after a minute, it becomes spicy. For the first fifteen minutes, I think of sauna infusion, a scent that is very pleasant and medically calming for me, and I start to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, that doesn't last, unfortunately. It changes after ten minutes; now it resembles many T.Tirenzi fragrances, slightly animalistic, sweaty - others write in their statements and reviews about the same scents: fruity.

Behind the sweaty note is something spicy warm and very soft, actually pleasant. I keep bringing my nose to my arm, making a great effort to recognize something... maybe there is some pepper in the spices?

To me, it smells strongly of cumin, which is the sweaty note, but what is the soft note that really makes a very nice impression behind it?

Three hours later, the scent becomes weaker, almost skin-close; now the sweaty note is weaker, but still quite dominant, and now it smells, in my opinion, really high-quality. It also reminds me of scents from Sospiro; unfortunately, I can't recall which one or which scents, but I also perceive this sweaty note with Sospiro - and others describe the scents quite differently, as fruity.

After six hours, still very noticeable, but unchanged. Almost from the beginning, aside from the first ten minutes - there is no development, the scent remains the same.

After seven hours, it is still well noticeable and now it is more pleasant, so * cough * there is a well-groomed attractive man who is sweating a bit in his fresh elegant clothing (that can happen) and still appears appealing because of this scent.
Does that mean I think the scent is more for men? Difficult, but I would - sorry to all women - not find this sweaty scent pleasant on a woman.
So yes, I would rather recommend it for - oops, it's called Madame Butterfly - so what now? Exactly, right, everyone wears what they like - I was just trying to describe my feelings somehow.

Madame Butterfly II would not make me happy, even though I equate it in its quality with other high-end brands, but this direction is not to my taste.
What rating should I give the scent now? For my personal taste, only an 8, but actually, it should get an 8.5 or 9.

So now - really just now - I go to the perfume page of this fragrance and look at the notes. I wrote the text simply in a writing program beforehand.
Then the following will surely happen; I read the notes and slap my hand to my forehead: of course, yes exactly, I recognize that now, of course, that's how it smells ;-)

I know that my review is not helpful because I can't recognize 99% of all fragrance notes well and can't describe what I perceive well, but I have been here at Parfumo for so long and finally want to write something :-)

Addendum: until I fell asleep around 11 PM, the scent on my arm was clearly noticeable, but as unchanged as it had been hours before. And when I woke up in the morning, there was a hint, a very weak, delicate, soft hint still there. But maybe I just smelled so nice when waking up ;-) … Counter-test on the other arm: no delicate scent hint, so it wasn't me after all ;-)
………………………

So now, a day later, I looked at the pyramid - I am already happy that I recognized one note, the pepper. Well, that's a start :-)
But I would have never recognized all the other notes. This test was also a lot of fun for me.

Hush... it's dusty here. Dry, rugged wood that becomes heavier and more powdery. To me, it's more of a men's scent than a women's.

Beautiful porcelain-skin scent, lightly powdery. Unfortunately, the raspberry bothers me too much personally. Good, but not "mine."

Raspberry soufflé at its finest, flanked by peppery-fresh petitgrain. Galbanum green-gray cautiously. Cedar-like structure.
