Boys of Summer Henry Rose 2023

Boys of Summer leans masc, but with enough androgyny to keep it going purely cologne. It starts smelling like a strong cologne, but quickly becomes softened by the orris that has a touch of sweetness in its powdery entrance. It ends up smelling incredibly like a light juniper fragrance on skin. Before it gets there, between the orris introduction and the soft juniper landing, there is a strong floral moment.

Overall, this could be recommended to any friend of yours who enjoys a light, comforting aromatic. I only sprayed on wrist so far, so I have no say for it as a body mist, yet I think it has enough versatility that it works for all sorts of occasions. In that sense, it might be a bit indecisive for some people. For people who enjoy a strong fragrance, this mist might be a tad disappointing.

I swear to God there is cassis in this body mist and it's the strongest note to me. It's an extremely realistic blackcurrant leaf scent (that I love). It's sharp and a bit astringent but because it's so realistic i think it really works. It brings me back so vividly to my childhood and eating fresh currant straight from the bush and being enveloped by the frangrant aura of it. Longevity is as expected from a body mist I'd say, and it's probably good that this isn't at edp concentration because I can see how the scent can easily become cloying if overdone.
