I don't like jasmine but I dont mind this

I'm a gourmand girlie and a hater of Jasmine BUT the orange blossom and neroli in this made me curious as I'm a bit of a heaux for those notes . Thankfully the jasmine in this isn't synthic or indolic, but instead smells like a fresh bouquet. It's very soft and pretty on the skin, reminiscent of something you'd wear with a white sundress on a nice spring day while sitting in the grass and enjoying the sun. You know it's there, but it's got a gentle presence to it - you won't be smelled from across the hallway but if the person is close enough they will catch a whiff of that lovely bouquet.

Now as a tuberose lover, I don't find this to be very tuberose dominant at all (rejoice you tuberose haters). It's really there as a supporting role to the jasmine, quiet and in the background. I wish it was more dominant but I'll take what I can get.

Disappointing Dry Down

The opening- neroli heavy, musky, crisp. I liked it. Almost adjacent to Pure Poisons' opening.

Then it started to settle into my skin and with each passing hour I became more disappointed. It settles into something I find common in older ozonic fragrances like 212 by CH and Oxygen by Lanvin; this sort of adhesive "glue stick" like smell. It's not offensive, but it does remind me of doing crafts in grade 2.

Above all else, I don't understand the connection of the name to the scent. Even at the opening which I found delightful, a clean neroli scent doesn't exactly bring the Venus fly trap and other carnivorous plants to mind. I could see the concept going in many different directions- greener, balmier, sweeter, more bitter.. Anything but the ultra fresh opening and anticlimactic ozonic whisper of a dry down.
