Almost Good.

This fragrance should be split into two. There is a distinct separation between the fresh/herbal/citrus opening and the warm gourmand base. It’s not blended very well, so the two parts mostly clash with one another instead of joining to form a complex gourmand. This is a shame, as I enjoy each section on its own and believe that a combination of the two could work—just not in this attempt.

Bittersweet

I wanted to love this perfume. Tried it on skin couple of times at Sephora hoping that each time it would evolve differently but alas. Starts with a very sweet cream note, something like if you shoved your nose into fresh frosting and very quickly turns extremely bitter (or strong black pepper?) and stays that way for HOURS :/

What was your name again?

I was really hopeful for the oddly named Dave, as the idea of a less sweet, coffee-vanilla-tonka gourmand sounded kind of interesting to me; When I initially tested this it was just kind of... bland. Really basic for a vanilla, and "not sweet" translated to a really weird synthetic note. beyond the weird and fake vibe this one has- like a scratch and sniff sticker- it's just sort of boring. Much like its name, Dave is somewhat forgettable - sorry to anyone on here named Dave.
