Green note at the top and a strong coconut / patchouli pairing
This is an overall confusing fragrance. I might not be the best audience for a fragrance that mixes a green accord with a gourmand aspect since to me, it clashes a lot.
At the start, there's a brief, but fresh ping of petitgrain and neroli which is swept away immediately by a very strong patchouli note (the violet note might be the culprit for the green accord I'm also getting). Thankfully, the patchouli settles down and, after a few minutes, allows the rest of the fragrance to shine. I start getting some tropical coconut (without the sunscreen, thankfully) and some creamy, sweet vanilla. It starts feeling really gourmand as the green accord moves to the background before disappearing. Patchouli remains here, but it's there to temper down the sweetness. Flowers offer a quiet sweetness and a tamed floral aspect to the scent. Coconut remains partnered with the patchouli as the sandalwood note comes up. It's woody, creamy and a bit sharp to my nose (giving me some sort of syntheticness). Drydown becomes woody, sharp and creamy sweet.
It's undoubtedly a tropical fragrance with a strong coconut, patchouli pairing. I'd wear this during the evening in the spring or on summer days where the heat is still manageable. Since I'm not a coconut fragrance type of girl and I found the top green note a bit off-putting to my nose, it won't be making it in my collection. Oh well, on to the next!
