Marine and metallic note paired with an aquatic neroli
Jake's House starts off with a strong and sharp marine note that borders on fresh laundry detergent which gave me "synthetic". It slowly morphs into something more mineral-like, reminscent of Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne: salty, oceanic, like walking on the beach. Doesn't take long before neroli also appears, lending a fresh, floral aspect to the fragrance. Neroli here is very aquatic-like, transparent and sheer. I didn't get any other florals than this one. Drydown becomes musky and slightly warmer, while retaining that metallic, marine note and the ghost of a fresh neroli.
It has very poor sillage, but lasts awhile on the skin as a skin scent / your-skin-but-better. Overall it's a nice floral, marine fragrance, but something in the marine note at the top bothered me which is the main reason why it won't be going into my collection. It doesn't warrant a 6/10 (at the time of this review), but it's not breath-taking either. Up to you!
